A driver got stuck on a wooden bridge in Thailand while solely relying on GPS instruction

In yet another instance of GPS blunder, a driver in Thailand got stuck on a wooden suspension bridge after following the instructions. A picture of the incident is doing rounds on the internet in which the car was seen precariously balanced in the middle.&nbsp;
According to the Pattaya News, this incident took place on January 28 at around 5:40 pm. The woman who was driving the car reported that she was solely relying on GPS for guidance and was trying to transverse the Wiang Thong Bridge with her white Honda Sedan.&nbsp;
The 120-meter-long bridge, which was intended for foot traffic only, proved ill-suited for the automobile. The Pattaya News reported that the car was only able to advance roughly 15 meters before disaster struck, with the front left wheel becoming lodged in a gap and bringing the vehicle to a grinding halt.&nbsp;
It was also revealed that the Thai female driver was on her way to visit a friend in Sung Men. She was not familiar with that area and was relying on a GPS to navigate to the specific location her friend had sent her.&nbsp;
The woman said, "I was focusing on the GPS and did not look around. I thought the bridge was sturdy and likely used by others. When I became stuck, I was so scared because I was in the middle of the Yom River. I was afraid the car might fall into the river, so I got out of the car to seek help."

In a bizarre incident, a woman in USA tried to drive her huge SUV down a flight of stairs - that too at a police station. Her excuse? Her GPS told her to do it.
If that wasn't enough, another driver was found driving down railroad tracks.
Both these incidents occurred in Portland city in the state of Maine.
In the first incident, police said that a 26-year-old woman driver drove through the police department garage, across the pedestrian plaza in the complex, and then tried to drive down the stairs to Middle Street. The city's police department posted photographs of the SUV stuck on a flight of stairs, on April 30.
She was drunk, according to the police. Portland police said, "Responding officers felt it was her excessive blood alcohol level."
She was issued a summons for OUI, or Operating Under the Influence of alcohol.Police said it was "fortunate" that the driver didn't hit anyone, and the incident ended with minor property damage.
In the second incident, police said that no alcohol was involved. The driver was a 25-year-old man from a different state who got lost and didn't realise he was driving down railroad tracks off of Congress street "until was too late", police said.
