10 people die at different Garba events in Gujarat, authorities sound alert

10 people have died during Garba events in Gujarat in 24 hours with authorities sounding alert for hospitals and community centres in the vicinity of Garba events.&nbsp;

At least 10 people have repotedly died while performing Garba in Gujarat in 24 hours. The India Today reported on October 21 that the age of victims ranged from teenagers to middle-aged people, with the youngest being a 13-year-old boy from Dabhoi in Baroda.
The state government issued an alert to all government hospitals and community health centers near Garba venues, urging them to be on high alert.
Garba organisers have also been instructed to create corridors for ambulances to enter the events swiftly in case of emergencies.

In a shocking incident in Palghar's Virar town,  Maharashtra Manish Narapji Sonigr, 35, collapsed while dancing at a Garba event at Global City complex, Virar at the interveining night of Saturday and Sunday.  Seeing his son, collapse, his father immediately rushed him to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead. While hearing the news of the death of his son, Narapji Sonigra, father of the deceased collapsed and died on the spot.According to the National Newschannel NDTV, police officials confirmed the deadly incident and regestered a case of iccidental death.
The bodied of the deceased has been sent for postmortem, the officials further said.

Garba organisers in Madhya Pradesh have been asked to check the identity cards of people before allowing them entry into the dance pandals, state Home Minister Narottam Mishra said on Tuesday.
Traditional Garba dance events are organised during the nine-day Navratri festival which started from Monday.
“Navratri, the festival of worship of Maa Durga, is the centre of our faith. In a bid to maintain peace and harmony on such a holy occasion, the organisers have been instructed to provide entry in the Garba events only after checking the ID cards," Mishra told reporters.
There should be no unpleasant situation on such an occasion, hence the identity cards of people should be checked. Everyone can come to offer prayers to the Goddess, he said.

Devotees on way to Kedarnath stunned those present at the Ratlam railway station in Madhya Pradesh as they broke into an impromptus Garba..   It all started when the Bandra-Haridwar train arrived at 10.15 pm Wednesday at Ratlam station. As passengers had quite a lot of time in hand than its usual stop time of 10 minutes, they got down from the train and were seen performing Garba on the platform.  While many netizens were left surprised and amused by the fact that the train reached its destination early, saying the railways usually have a reputation of being late, others were amused to see the impromptu performance.  “Majama. Happy Journey,” Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw wrote online while sharing the video.
