Multiple vehicles collided in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur on the Delhi-Lucknow highway due to low visibility. This incident took place on January 31 as there was a thick layer of fog.&nbsp;
As per reports, several people sustained injuries in the accident and were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. This accident also caused a traffic jam on the Delhi-Lucknow highway.&nbsp;
In the video of the incident, it can be seen that several vehicles, including a truck, several cars and a jeep were massively damaged due to the collision. The authorities were also seen taking the help of cranes to clear the highway by putting the damaged vehicles on the side of the road.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, a layer of dense fog enveloped the national capital on Wednesday morning hampering flight and train operations.

Yet another morning of dense fog in the national capital affected flight operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Due to weather conditions, around 45 flights were delayed on the morning of 11 January 2023, according to news agency ANI.
However, no flight diversions were reported till 8 am.
Delhi's Safdarjung observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 5.9 degree Celsius around 6:10 am on 11 January. According to the Met department, visibility in Palam was recorded at 100 meters at 6:10 am.
As was forecast, dense to very dense fog was observed over parts of Punjab, northwest Rajasthan, Jammu, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Tripura.

The problem of reading glasses getting fogged is universal and people wearing them have been dealing with it ever since.
But thanks to researchers at Switzerland&rsquo;s ETH Zurich university who are on the verge of ending this problem with the discovery of a transparent nano-coating that can prevent fogging of spectacles in humid weather.
This coating is made using gold harnesses sunlight to heat up the glasses that stops them from fogging. It does not need batteries to work and can also be used in car windshields.
However, researchers are still testing it and according to them this technology is different from the conventional anti-fogging methods as it uses hydrophilic or water-attracting molecules, that cause an even spread of condensation.

At least 19 trains to Delhi were delayed by one-and-a-half to four-and-a-half hours due to the foggy weather, a Railways spokesperson said.

Delhi's minimum temperature on Wednesday morning plunged to 4.4 degrees Celsius -&ndash; the season's lowest -- making the national capital colder than Dharamsala, Nainital and Dehradun.
A dense layer of fog lowered visibility to 200 metres, affecting the movement of road and rail traffic.
At least 19 trains to Delhi were delayed by one-and-a-half to four-and-a-half hours due to the foggy weather, a Railways spokesperson said.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) shared satellite images that showed a thick layer of fog over the Indo-Gangetic plains and adjoining central and eastern parts of the country.
"Fog/low cloud layer persists over north and central parts of India, covering large parts of the country and causing 'cold day' to 'severe cold day'. (A) cold wave (was) recorded over isolated pockets of Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan," an IMD official said.

The Palam observatory at the Indira Gandhi International Airport logged a visibility level of 200 metres at 5.30 am.
According to the weather office, 'very dense' fog is when visibility is between 0 and 50 metres, 51 and 200 metres is 'dense', 201 and 500 metres 'moderate', and 501 and 1,000 metres 'shallow'.
With frosty winds from the snow-clad Himalayas barrelling through the plains, the Safdarjung observatory, Delhi's primary weather station, saw the minimum temperature plummet to 4.4 degrees Celsius from 8.5 degrees a day ago.
Delhi's minimum temperature was lower than that of Dharamsala (5.2 degrees), Nainital (6 degrees) and Dehradun (4.5 degrees).
The Delhi Ridge weather station near Delhi University recorded a cold wave with a minimum temperature of 3.3 degrees Celsius, the lowest in the capital on Wednesday.
Coldwave conditions are predicted in the national capital during the next three days and the mercury may drop to 4 degrees, the IMD has forecast.

A cold wave swept parts of Delhi on Sunday with the minimum temperature dropping to 3 degrees Celsius in the Ridge area, the India Meteorological Department said.
According to the IMD, a few places in the capital also reported a cold day -- when the minimum temperature is less than or equal to 10 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is at least 4.5 degrees Celsius below normal.
Dense fog and cold wave conditions are predicted at most places in the city on Monday.
The Safdarjung observatory, Delhi's primary weather station, logged a minimum temperature of 5.3 degrees Celsius -- three notches below normal.

At 5:30 am, visibility levels stood at zero in Bhatinda; 25m in Ganganagar, Chandigarh, Gorakhpur and Bareilly, and 50m in Amritsar, Churu Bahraich and Ambala.
The situation is expected to improve soon with a decrease in relative humidity at the lower tropospheric level over the Indo-Gangetic plains, the Indian Meteorological Department said.
