Celebrities attended the star-studded Filmfare Middle East Achievers Night 2022 in Dubai last night. Shehnaaz Gill, Janhvi Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Tejasswi Prakash, and several others walked the red carpet in stunning looks.
Janhvi Kapoor looked gorgeous in a metallic dress paired with dainty earrings and high heels. She was also seen performing at the stage.&nbsp;
Actor Shehnaaz Gil, who received an award at the event, dedicated it to the late actor and rumoured boyfriend Siddharth Shukla. She also thanked the actor for investing in her and making her touch the sky of success. Shehnaaz chose to wear a black strapless gown with matching earrings.
Veteran actor Hema Malini who received the lifetime achievement award, was accompanied by actor Ranveer Singh who held her hand to drop her on stage.&nbsp;
Ranveer was also honoured with Superstar of The Decade award at the event. He got emotional as he recalled his journey in the industry.
Tejasswi Pakash looked beautiful in a jade green gown paired with statement earrings and bold makeup. Manushi Chillar and Tamnnaah Bhatia were too seen at the event. While Manushi
Chillar opted for a golden yellow and beige shaded gown, Tamannaah Bhatia wore a red embellished gown.&nbsp;

Filmfare Awards 2022: Ranveer and Kriti win Best Actor, Actress
Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon were named the best actor and actress at the 67th Filmfare Awards which were held in Mumbai on August 30. Ranveer won the top acting honour for his incredible performance in Kabir Khan’s ‘83’, while Kriti received the award for her role in the critically acclaimed film ‘Mimi’.
‘Shershah’, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, was declared the best film. 
Vicky Kaushal took home the best actor award in the critic’s category for his performance in ‘Sardar Udham’. The Shoojit Sircar-directorial was also named the best film in the critic’s category.
 'Laal Singh Chaddha' row: Aamir Khan Productions’ apology 
On the occasion of the Jain festival of Samvatsar, Aamir Khan Productions shared a video on social media apologising to everyone and seeking their forgiveness. The video opens with the words 'Michami Dukkadam’, which mean 'may all my improper actions be inconsequential'. Fans and followers of the actor are speculating that this video is an apology for ‘Laal Singh Chaddha's miserable box office performance. 
Now, as per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Aamir Khan has decided to completely forgo his fees for the Advait Chandan-directorial. 
‘Liger’ failure: Puri Jagannadh to compensate South distributors 
‘Liger’, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, failed to pull the audience to theatres and due to its box office debacle, South distributors have lost a lot of money. According to film distributor Warangal Srinu, he has lost 65 per cent of his investment. He also alleged that there was an elaborate plan to ‘sabotage’ the film’s collections. 
However, as per a report in ETimes, the film's producer-director Puri Jagannadh will compensate the distributors who have suffered. He will reportedly meet the distributors and execute the compensation soon.
Oscar slapgate: Chris Rock won’t host Academy Award ceremony in 2023
Comedian Chris Rock has reportedly declined the offer to host the Academy Award ceremony in 2023 after this year’s Oscars slapgate. Chris reportedly made the announcement during his Sunday night show at the Arizona Financial Theatre in downtown Phoenix.
According to Arizona Republic, referencing the murder trial of O.J. Simpson, Chris compared the incident of Will Smith slapping him to the gruesome murder of Nicole Brown Smith.
For the unversed, actor Will Smith had slapped Chris Rock because the latter had made a joke on his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head. Chris was not aware of Jada’s medical condition called alopecia areata which leads to acute hair loss.

The hashtag ‘Boycott Bollywood’ has been trending on Twitter over the last few months and many big-ticket films such as ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and ‘Liger’ have faced boycott calls. Reacting to the ongoing trend, actor Swara Bhasker stated that it's all ‘hyped up’, as people will watch a film if it's good enough to pull them into theatres. Citing an example of Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, she said that despite facing calls for a boycott the movie went on to become one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films this year.
Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar called the boycott trend a ‘passing phase’ in an interview with ETimes and said that if a film is good, it will work. 
Pallavi Joshi countered earlier claims made by a few actors, such as Vijay Deverakonda and Akshay Kumar, who stated that boycott trend has a negative impact on the economy. Speaking with Hindustan Times, ‘The Kashmir Files’ actor said that as long as films are made, people will get paid unless, of course, there is a pandemic.

Ranveer Singh has received the best actor award for his film 83 at the Filmfare last night. The actor shared his picture with the award and captioned it, What else we here for? Best Actor @filmfare #TheBlackLady … dedicated to ‘Kapil’s Devils’ with winning cup and heart emoticons.  
The actor received the award from his wife Deepika Padukone who was also the co-producer for the film. He also kissed Deepika on the stage and jokingly commented ‘Powered by Deepika Padukone.’ She later on shared Ranveer’s picture on her Instagram to flaunt her best man. She captioned her post, ‘Simply the best. Better than all the rest. @ranveersingh’ 
The ‘83’ actor wore red suit and a bowtie to the awards night while Deepika was seen in a plain blue shirt and matching denims which she paired with white shoes.  
The film is based on Kapil Dev and India winning the world cup. Ranveer had also received the Best Actor award for his performance in 83 at The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2022. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie features Ranveer as Kapil Dev the captain of Indian cricket team during 1983 Cricket World Cup win.

Ranveer Singh received the Best Actor award last night for his performance in '83.' The actor received the award from his wife-actor Deepika Padukone, who also the co-produced the film.

Ranveer Singh took home the Best Actor award for his performance in Kabir Khan&rsquo;s &lsquo;83&rsquo; at the Filmfare Awards on Tuesday night. The actor, who portrayed the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev in the film, took to Instagram on Wednesday and dedicated his award to &lsquo;Kapil's Devils&rsquo; - the 1983 squad won the country's first World Cup, defeating West Indies.&nbsp;
Sharing a picture with the Filmfare trophy, he wrote, &lsquo;What else we here for? Best Actor Filmfare. The Black Lady... Dedicated to 'Kapil's Devils.&rsquo;
The comment section of his post was filled with congratulatory messages.&nbsp;

Kriti Sanon is on cloud nine after she bagged the Best Actor in a Lead Role (female) award for &lsquo;Mimi&rsquo; at the 67th Filmfare Awards on Tuesday night (August 30). Taking to Instagram, she penned a gratitude note, saying that her dream has come true. She posted a video in which she is seen kissing her trophy and she wrote the her heart is full as the black lady is finally hers and thanked Filmfare for this much-needed. In her note, she also thanked director Laxman Utekar for giving her the opportunity to headline &lsquo;Mimi&rsquo;, in which portrayed the role of a surrogate mother.&nbsp;

Filmfare Awards 2022 : The 67th Filmfare Awards ceremony was held on Tuesday night (August 30) with several Bollywood celebrities in attendance. The award was presented to him by none other than his wife-actor and the film&rsquo;s co-producer <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/deepika-padukone-and-ranveer-singh-s-griha-pravesh-puja-at-their-new-home-in-alibaug-1660980329283">Deepika Padukone</a>. The couple was all smiles at the event and Ranveer also gave Deepika a hug and a kiss on the cheek. After receiving the award, the 'Simmba' actor joked, &lsquo;Ranveer Singh powered by Deepika Padukone.&rsquo;
While hosting the event, Ranveer also talked about purchasing a property in Bandra, which is next to Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat. He revealed that Deepika has hired an interior designer from Bengaluru to decorate their house.
The duo has reportedly bought a house worth Rs 119 crore.
'I finally bought my own place after 12 years. Deepika has hired an interior designer from Bengaluru to decorate the place. It&rsquo;s been 10 years of us being together,' Ranveer said.&nbsp;
Earlier, the actor engaged the audience with an energetic performance, a video of which is going viral on social media. In the clip, he is seen grooving to &lsquo;Khalibali&rsquo; from his 2018 film &lsquo;Padmaavat&rsquo;, which co-starred his wife Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, and Jim Sarbh.
