The first teaser of Meghna Gulzar's upcoming film, 'Sam Bahadur', starring Vicky Kaushal as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, has been unveiled. The film will hit theatres on December 1, 2023. Sanya Malhotra stars as Manekshaw&rsquo;s wife Silloo and Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Sam Manekshaw&rsquo;s military career spanned over four decades. He was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War that led to the creation of Bangladesh, and the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal.
&lsquo;Sam Bahadur&rsquo; is being directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

Actor Fatima Sana Shaikh opened up about battling epilepsy. She also mentioned that she was scared to reveal it as she would lose her work.

Actor Fatima Sana Shaikh, who had previously shared that she suffers from epilepsy, recalled the day of the incident and called it the most difficult time. She said that she had five clusters of seizures when she was all alone. &nbsp;
Talking to Hindustan Times, the actor said that she was frightened when she got the seizure. She said, &lsquo;It kept my work and life on hold. For me this was a big jhatka, I really thought I&rsquo;m lucky that I survived. I&rsquo;ve had big episodes in the past, but this was the most difficult as I was all alone. Now I cannot travel alone, I need someone with me.&rsquo;
She further mentioned that she hasn&rsquo;t hidden her health condition, but never got a chance to talk about it. She stated, &lsquo;I&rsquo;ve not hidden it, but kabhi mauka nahi mila. I took some time to understand what it was. There&rsquo;s so much stigma attached. You think log sochenge that you have an ailment. I didn&rsquo;t want people to think I&rsquo;m weak. I was scared that if I tell people that I have this then I will not get work. I, also, didn&rsquo;t want to accept that I have a neurological condition.&rsquo;
The actor also mentioned the reason for not being open about it and said, &lsquo;People in the rural areas think drugs kar liya, devi chadh gayi. People don&rsquo;t get married because people don&rsquo;t know about it. They cannot work, because you become a liability. That is the reason I wasn&rsquo;t talking much about it or telling anyone about it.&rsquo;
Epilepsy is a neurological condition in which brain undergoes a period of instability and hence results in seizures and loss of consciousness.

Fatima Sana Shaikh talked about epilepsy during her interaction with fans on Instagram, saying 'I&nbsp; have never compromised on any effort to do my best. In fact, it pushes and drives me to work harder.'

Actor Fatima Sana Shaikh opened up about her struggle with epilepsy and mentioned how she has been coping with it with the help of medication and workouts. The actor took part in &lsquo;ask me anything&rsquo; session on Instagram and answered several fan queries related to the disorder.
On being questioned how epilepsy affected her professionally, the 'Dangal' star said, 'I mean I have to go a bit slow. But I can do everything. There are some odd and tough days. That slows me down. But I have been fortunate enough to work with people I have been dying to work with. And this has not affected my passion and neither have I ever compromised on any effort to do my best. In fact it pushes and drives me to work harder.'
A fan asked her if an epilepsy patient is made to smell a stinking shoe, and the actor said that, 'This is a myth. Please aisa mat karna (please don't do this). Already it's traumatic to come out of a seizure. Last thing you want is to wake up to a stinking shoe! Hahaha! People have done this to me! (vomit emojis) Horrible!'
When a person, who has been suffering from epilepsy since childhood, asked the actor if they could work out too, she said, 'I workout. Keeps the endorphins coming. Makes me feel good.'
A fan asked her about the medication she was on, and the actor denied to reveal the names of the drugs as it wouldn't be safe to take them without a doctor&rsquo;s prescription. She shared side effects like nausea and migraines from her earlier medication and said she is on a new set of medicines now.&nbsp;
On the work front, the actor was last seen in Anil Kapoor and Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor-starrer Thar'. She has 'Dhak Dhak' and 'Sam Bahadur' in her kitty.

Today (16 May) Viacom18 Studios and Outsiders Films Productions in association with BLM Pictures announced their new film titled ‘Dhak Dhak’.  The film is a fascinating tale about four women and their life changing journey to the highest motorable pass in the world.
Speaking about the association, Ajit Andhare (COO-Viacom18 Studios) said, “Dhak Dhak’ is a heart-warming story of four women undertaking a trip breaking out of their cocoons & discovering themselves through this journey of introspection & adventure. This was the perfect script and resonates well with the DNA of our storytelling.”
The film’s producer Taapsee Pannu added, “At Outsiders Films, we aim to produce films that are meaningful and entertaining. We have attempted to give audiences a visual experience that they have rarely seen on screen. ‘Dhak Dhak’ narrates the story of four women who realize that freedom has to be owned and never given. Viacom18 Studios has been a crucial part of my journey in the film industry from ‘Chashme Baddoor’, ‘Shabaash Mithu’ and now to ‘Dhak Dhak’. In Viacom18 Studios and Ajit, we have a partner who has a great foresight towards differentiated cinema. I am sure that this ride will be an enriching one.”
The film stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi as its protagonists. ‘Dhak Dhak’ has been co-written by Parijat Joshi and Tarun Dudeja.
The film, which is presently under production, will hit cinema screens in 2023.
