Poll of polls: Congress likely to retain Chhattisgarh, most polls show Baghel set for second term

Bhupesh Baghel is set to retain power in Chhattisgarh for a second term with most exit polls predicting that the Congress will sail above the majority mark of 46.&nbsp;

Multiple exit poll results have shown that the recent voting in Chhattisgarh is likely to see Congress retaining power. The Bhupesh Baghel government may slide over the majority mark but with a thin margin.&nbsp;
The India Today Axis-My India predicted that Congress is set to win between 40-50 seats, while BJP may secure between 36-46 seats and others may get five seats in 90-member assembly.
While Congress needs at least 46 seats to ensure Bhupesh Baghel becomes chief minister for a second term, the ABP News-C Voter predicted that the grand old party is likely to get between 41-53 seats and rival BJP is likely to manage between 36-48 seats.&nbsp;
The Jan Ki Baat News 24 also gave Congress a majority with the party predicted to get between 42-53 seats while BJP is likely to get somewhere between 34-45 seats. Today's Chanakya gave 57 seats to Congress while BJP is predicted to fall shot of majority by 13 seats. The voting results are out on December 3.

With drama at every stage,&nbsp;Punjab was arguably the most-keenly watched election in the 5-state poll exercise which ended on March 7. The border state saw a multi-cornered contest for the first time in 2022. And it's a relatively newer player which seems to have captured the voters' imagination in Punjab. According to predictions by most exit polls, it is the Aam Aadmi Party which is headed for victory in the northern state. The exit poll conducted by News24 and Today's Chanakya predicted a clean sweep for the party, claiming it is headed to win 100 seats in the 117-member House. The majority mark is 59. The Aaj Tak-Axis My India exit poll has predicted 76 to 90 seats for the AAP, while&nbsp;Republic PMARQ says the party will win 62 to 70 seats. ABP CVoter predicts 51 to 61 for the AAP while Times Now Veto says the party might win 70. While the Congress is predicted to have lost yet another state, pushing it closer to political irrelevance, the BJP seems to have failed to make a mark in alliance with former Congress veteran Amarinder Singh. The Akali Dal, which broke up with the BJP over the farm law protest, also apparently failed to capitalise on anti-incumbency.
