On the last day of Durga Puja festivities, Rani Mukerji took part in sindoor khela and danced to the Dhol beats and bells along with other women.

Rani Mukerji took part in sindoor khela with full enthusiasm on the last day of Durga Puja on October 24. She danced to the Dhol beats and bells along with TV actor Rupali Ganguly and other women.
'The Kapil Sharma Show' actor Sumona Chakravarti and choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant were also seen at the pandal.
For the occasion, Rani wore a beige and golden silk saree tied in a Bangla style and wore the traditional shakha pola (red and white bangles). She had sindoor smeared on her face as she took part in the festivities.
A video also shows Rani dancing alone while being surrounded by other devotees.
Reacting to the video, a fan wrote, &lsquo;She is a spontaneous actress and has normal pretty look not those stiff artificial ultra. Thin look.&rsquo;
Another said, &lsquo;She is damn beautiful.... I don't know why people judge her on height .... Her appearance is so mesmerising.... I mean she has done so good films with SRK... Bcz she has that charm and looks.&rsquo;
There is also a video of Rani and sister-in-law Jyoti Mukerji playing sindoor khela. Jyoti is seen applying sindoor on Rani's forehead, head and bangles before giving her a warm hug. She is the wife of Rani's brother Raja Mukerji and a TV actor.

Actor Kajol celebrated Saptami with family and friends at North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga puja pandal. She took to Instagram on Sunday and shared a video in which her son Yug is seen serving bhog during Durga puja. Kajol is seen dressed in a hot pink saree, while Yug donned in a pink kurta. 
Sharing the video, Kajol wrote, 'So proud of my son serving at the pujo mistakes and all.. the tradition continues…#durgapuja #proudmom #blessingsrecieved.'

A 10-year-old boy was killed and 52 people were injured in a fire at a Durga Puja panal in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi on Sunday evening, officials said.
According to District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi, around 150 people were present during the Durga Puja aarti when the fire broke out. He added that 52 people were admitted to different hospitals with 30-40%. The injured are in a stable conidition, he said.

The festival of <a href="https://www.editorji.com/lifestyle-news/navratri-2021-festival-dedicated-to-different-forms-of-durga-and-feminine-power-1633528654531" target="_blank">Navratri </a>will be observed from October 7 till October 15. This year Ashtami falls on October 13 while Dashami falls on October 15.
