Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Delhi, to brief her on 'Operation Sindoor.' This significant operation targeted nine terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and took place just hours earlier.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi led a Cabinet meeting, describing the operation as a "moment of pride" for the nation. He informed the Cabinet that the mission was executed flawlessly, emphasizing "no mistakes whatsoever," and declared the retaliatory strike a "successful completion."
During the meeting, PM Modi lauded the armed forces for their "commendable job" and "immaculate execution," stating, "The whole country was looking up to us. We are proud of our army."

The military operation targeting terror camps in Pakistan and PoK commenced at 1:05 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, and was completed in just 25 minutes. During this brief timeframe, nine terror camps and training facilities were struck using advanced weaponry, including the HAMMER bomb and the SCALP missile. These precision-guided munitions can hover over a target area to confirm before detonating.
In retaliation, Pakistan engaged in 'arbitrary and indiscriminate firing' and artillery shelling across the Line of Control (LoC), resulting in the tragic deaths of at least three civilians in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
Operation Sindoor was launched in the aftermath of a horrific terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 civilians lost their lives.

The meeting comes in the wake of the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on Tuesday in which 26 men, mostly tourists and including a Nepalese citizen, were gunned down in cold blood.
"Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah and Minister of External Affairs, Dr S Jaishankar called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan," the President's office said in a post on X, along with a picture of the meeting.
In the targeted attack, a group of terrorists killed male tourists milling around eateries, taking pony rides or just picnicking with their families at the meadow touted as 'Mini Switzerland' for its serene beauty.

President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday asked a group of newly inducted IAS officers to make special efforts for the upliftment of the underprivileged.
Asserting that being in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) gives them an opportunity to bring about transformative changes in the lives of countless people, she said officers should keep in mind the rights and duties of civil servants.
"The duties of a public servant are their responsibilities and their rights are the means to fulfil those duties," Murmu said addressing the IAS officers from the 2023 batch, who are currently serving as assistant secretaries in various Union ministries and departments.
Addressing the IAS officers, Murmu said that they had become IAS officers through extraordinary determination and hard work.
"This has brought about a transformative change in their personal lives. Now with even more determination and dedication, they have the opportunity to bring about transformative changes in the lives of countless people," she said.
Their area of service and authority are so vast that they can make the lives of many fellow citizens better in their first posting itself, the President said.
She advised them to make special efforts for the upliftment of the underprivileged.
Murmu also advised them to visit the places of posting during their career journey after some time and see the far-reaching results of their work.
The President told officers that their real career story would be created by their work, not by increasing the number of followers on social media.
"Their real social net worth would be determined by their good work," Murmu was quoted as having said in a statement issued by the President's office.
The President said that every public servant should work with honesty of purpose.
"We all face the challenges of environmental pollution and climate change. Pollution of immorality and erosion in values are also very serious challenges. There should be no need to say anything else about being devoted and honest.
"The people who move ahead following life values of honesty, truth, and simplicity are happier. Honesty is the most desirable policy in public service. It is expected from the public servant that they would present examples of integrity and sensitivity in every sphere of life," she said.
Murmu said that in the digital era, people&rsquo;s aspirations are rising.
"They are becoming aware of the accountability of administrators," she told the officers, who had called on the President, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre here.
Murmu advised officers to develop closeness with their fellow citizens and increase their participation in local efforts.
She also advised them to resolve public interest issues raised by people&rsquo;s representatives.
The President said that the development and public welfare work done by them at the local and state level would help in achieving national goals.

The Shiv Sena will support National Democratic Alliance's Presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu, party chief Uddhav Thackeray said on Tuesday.

Uddhav has, however, denied making the decision under the pressure of his MLAs. He said that some Sena MLAs from the tribal community told him that it would be the first time that a woman from the tribal community is getting the chance to become the president and he decided to back Droupadi Murmmu's candidature respecting their views. 
“Actually, going by the present political atmosphere, I should not have backed her. But we are not narrow-minded,” he said.
Thackeray said several party leaders, especially from the tribal community like MLC Aamshya Padvi, former MLA Nirmala Gavit, and Eklavya Sanghtana's Shivajirao Dhavale had urged him to back Murmu.
The Sena chief said he got representations from Nomadic Tribes and Scheduled Tribes communities to back Murmu.
“I am again saying there is no pressure on me to back Droupadi Murmu. Going by the present political atmosphere, I should not have backed her (Murmu) because she is a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). But we are not narrow-minded,” Thackeray said.
He recalled that the Sena had backed United Progressive Alliance's (UPA's) nominees Pratibha Patil and Pranab Mukherjee in the Presidential polls held in 2007 and 2012, respectively, even though the Sena was a constituent of the BJP-led NDA at that time.
“Even at that time, the Shiv Sena had thought beyond politics and did what is good for the country,” Thackeray said.
The Shiv Sena has 19 MPs in Lok Sabha, including 18 from Maharashtra. It has three MPs in Rajya Sabha.
On the home turf of Maharashtra, the Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena is left with 15 MLAs, after 40 legislators sided with the Eknath Shinde faction.
A delegation of Shiv Sena is likely to meet Murmu to convey the party's support to her, a party functionary said.
Polls to elect the next president will be held on July 18. The race for the Rashtrapati Bhavan will be between Murmu and Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.
