In the wake of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filing closure reports concerning the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, actress Dia Mirza has publicly demanded an apology for Rhea Chakraborty, who endured extensive media scrutiny and what she terms a "media trial" in 2020.
On her Instagram Stories, Mirza questioned, "Who in the media will have the grace to put out a written apology to Rhea Chakraborty and her family?"&nbsp;
She further criticized the media frenzy, stating, "You went on a witch hunt. You caused deep anguish and harassment just for TRPs. Apologise. That's the very least you can do."
Dia Mirza's comments come shortly after the CBI concluded its investigations by filing two closure reports on March 22. These reports pertain to the allegations made by Sushant Rajput's father against Rhea Chakraborty, his then-girlfriend, and Chakraborty's counter-allegations against Rajput's family.
The CBI took over the investigation from the Bihar Police in August 2020. After conducting a thorough investigation for over four years, the agency found no evidence that anyone incited Sushant Rajput to take his own life.
According to sources, Ms. Chakraborty and her family have been exonerated, with the CBI absolving all individuals named in the two FIRs related to the case, including Chakraborty, her parents, and brother.
Additionally, a forensic team from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) confirmed that Rajput's death was a suicide, not a homicide.
The late actor's death saw Rhea Chakraborty face severe media scrutiny, particularly in September 2020 when she was arrested in Mumbai on drug-related charges linked to the Rajput case.
Accused of procuring and supplying drugs to Rajput, Chakraborty was imprisoned in Byculla Jail for 28 days before being granted bail.
Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered dead in his Mumbai apartment in June 2020, a case that captivated and divided public opinion for months.

Actor Dia Mirza, in a recent interview, opened up on the decades-long debate on whether R Madhavan's character Maddy's stalking was justified in the cult romantic film 'Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein'.
Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Dia admitted that she was uncomfortable with the stalking and still is over 20 years down the line.
Dia said, 'I was uncomfortable when Maddy&rsquo;s character was stalking me. Although Reena (Dia&rsquo;s character) acknowledges it. She has that moment when she tells him off. What works is that people get past that notion, that it&rsquo;s okay. In fact Maddy&rsquo;s character at the end has very strong values. He is respectful, he is kind and he is well-intentioned, most importantly.'
For those who haven't watched the film, Madhavan&rsquo;s character Maddy constantly stalks Dia&rsquo;s character Reena Malhotra. Maddy impersonates Reena&rsquo;s-to-be fianc&eacute; Rajeev and manipulates her into falling in love with him.
In the end, Reena chooses Maddy over Rajeev.
When asked if Reena made the right choice, Dia said, 'What should I say now. I used to think that Saif is such a good guy, why would she leave him and go. However, that was shown in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. So it&rsquo;s very interesting that one film shows a particular point of view, while another film shows another point of view. If there&rsquo;s ever a sequel made, then it&rsquo;ll be very interesting to see where these people are today.'
'Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein', directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, was released in 2001.

In an interview with Outlook, when Dia was asked whether such a film could attract audience if it was made today, the actor replied, &lsquo;I can&rsquo;t speak about whether that film can be made or not, because all kinds of films are going around. But if I was offered that film, I would question certain aspects of the film and hope that the writers would change it. I internalised some aspects of that film and realised that had to do with the right propagation of love. I am strongly against stalking. I think it is a terrible thing to do.&rsquo;&nbsp;
Dia also talked about the glorification of stalking in her debut movie. She said, &lsquo;Not only does Maddy&rsquo;s character stalk Reena, but he also lies to her. Of course, she breaks off the relationship with him once she discovers the truth, only to then realise that he is remorseful and genuinely loves and cares for her. But there is no justification in this world for stalking, lying is bad, and stalking is worse.&rsquo;&nbsp;
She added, &lsquo;I guess as a society, we don&rsquo;t perceive stalking as a bad thing. I feel our films are responsible for spreading that sense of falsehood as the right thing.&rsquo;&nbsp;

Today (16 May) Viacom18 Studios and Outsiders Films Productions in association with BLM Pictures announced their new film titled ‘Dhak Dhak’.  The film is a fascinating tale about four women and their life changing journey to the highest motorable pass in the world.
Speaking about the association, Ajit Andhare (COO-Viacom18 Studios) said, “Dhak Dhak’ is a heart-warming story of four women undertaking a trip breaking out of their cocoons & discovering themselves through this journey of introspection & adventure. This was the perfect script and resonates well with the DNA of our storytelling.”
The film’s producer Taapsee Pannu added, “At Outsiders Films, we aim to produce films that are meaningful and entertaining. We have attempted to give audiences a visual experience that they have rarely seen on screen. ‘Dhak Dhak’ narrates the story of four women who realize that freedom has to be owned and never given. Viacom18 Studios has been a crucial part of my journey in the film industry from ‘Chashme Baddoor’, ‘Shabaash Mithu’ and now to ‘Dhak Dhak’. In Viacom18 Studios and Ajit, we have a partner who has a great foresight towards differentiated cinema. I am sure that this ride will be an enriching one.”
The film stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi as its protagonists. ‘Dhak Dhak’ has been co-written by Parijat Joshi and Tarun Dudeja.

Actor Sushmita Sen’s daughter Renee Sen shared a post thanking her mother on Sunday. Renee, who turned 23 on September 4, took to her Instagram handle and shared an adorable mother-daughter picture. Dia Mirza has recalled the tough time she had to go through when her son Avyaan Azaad was born. The actor recalled her delivery time, which was in May 2021, that her son was born pre-mature and the situation was really life-threatening for both the mother and the child. In a recent interview, she shared that during the fifth month of her pregnancy, she had to undergo appendix surgery. The actor feels that the surgery caused some infection in her body which led to further complications.  
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor talked about the problems involved in her pregnancy. She said, “My placenta was hemorrhaging and the doctor said I have to pull your baby out otherwise I would have gone into sepsis. It was life-threatening for both of us and within 36 hours of birth, the baby had to go through surgery,” she said. 
The 'Thappad' actor also shared that after the delivery her son had to go through surgery and that she couldn’t meet him for three and a half months after that. The actor further told that he had to be in NICU during that time.  
The actor told that all this happened during the second wave of pandemic so she had to follow so many precautions. She shared that the baby was quite ‘tiny and fragile’ and she was allowed to see her baby only twice a week.  
The much-loved actor is currently working on her upcoming project 'Dhak Dhak'. The film also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Sanjana Sanghi in pivotal roles.

So it was very hard but through it all, I always believed that he would not leave me and he would fight and survive, the actor added.
