Video footage of the exchange quickly went viral, showing Vistisen continuing his speech in Danish before being interrupted by European Parliament Vice President Nicolae Stefanuta, who objected to the use of profane language on the floor of the House.
&ldquo;I am sorry, colleague, this is against our rules,&rdquo; Stefanuta told him. &ldquo;We have clear rules about curse words and language that is inappropriate in this room. I am sorry to interrupt you. It is unacceptable, even if you might have strong political feelings about this.&rdquo;
Vistisen later resumed the remainder of his address in Danish after the rebuke.
The incident comes amid renewed pressure from Trump over Greenland, which he has described as strategically vital for US and NATO security, citing competition with Russia and China as melting Arctic ice opens new shipping routes and access to resources.
Trump has also escalated tensions by threatening tariffs of up to 25 per cent on eight European countries backing Denmark&rsquo;s position on Greenland, prompting European leaders to warn of possible countermeasures against the United States.
The exchange has highlighted growing European frustration with US rhetoric over the future of the autonomous Arctic territory.

European leaders on Sunday slammed US President Donald Trump's threat of tariffs over their opposition to his designs on Greenland, warning transatlantic ties were at risk.
European countries including Denmark, of which Greenland is an autonomous territory, said they "stand united" against Trump's vow on Saturday to hit them with tariffs of up to 25 percent unless Greenland is ceded to the United States.
"Tariff threats undermine transatlantic relations and risk a dangerous downward spiral," Britain, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden warned in a joint statement.
Denmark's Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said Trump's ultimatum threatened the world order "as we know it" and the future of the NATO military alliance.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said he had spoken to Trump about "the security situation in Greenland and the Arctic" and hoped to talk again at this week's Davos summit. He did not elaborate on their conversation.
The European Council said it was calling a summit of EU leaders in the coming days, following a meeting of EU ambassadors in Brussels on Sunday.
 - Trade deal threatened -
The bloc clinched a deal with Washington in July for most EU exports to face a 15-percent US levy. It was unclear how Trump's threatened tariffs would work against that deal.
"I don't believe that this agreement is possible in the current situation," German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul told ARD television.
Aides to French President Emmanuel Macron said he would ask the EU to activate a never-before-used "anti-coercion instrument" against Washington if Trump makes good on his additional tariffs.
This measure allows for curbing imports of goods and services into the EU, a market of 27 countries with a combined population of 450 million.
Trump has repeatedly expressed his desire to seize Greenland since returning to the White House for a second term.
His rhetoric towards that goal has hardened since he ordered a military operation against Venezuela early this month to capture its leader, Nicolas Maduro.
 - 'Blackmail' -
Trump and his administration have argued that Greenland coming under US rule would serve American "national security".
He and his aides have also argued that Denmark, a fellow NATO member, would be unable to defend Greenland should Russia or China ever seek to invade.
Denmark and several of its European NATO allies responded by recently sending small numbers of military personnel to Greenland for an exercise, to which the US was also invited.
And on Saturday, thousands of people in Greenland and Denmark protested against the US push to control the Arctic island.
"Make America Go Away" read the wording on caps worn by many demonstrators, riffing on Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan.
Trump responded Saturday with his threat to slap goods coming into the US from Britain, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Finland with 10-percent tariffs starting February 1.
They would rise to 25 percent from June 1 "until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland", Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Even Italy's far-right Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, one of Trump's closest European allies, baulked at the threat.
"I believe that imposing new sanctions today would be a mistake," she told journalists during a trip to Seoul.
"I spoke to Donald Trump a few hours ago and told him what I think," she added.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called it "completely wrong", and said he planned to discuss the situation with Trump "at the earliest opportunity".
Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel denounced Trump's threat as an "inexplicable" form of "blackmail".
 - Trade war fear -
France's Agricultural Minister Annie Genevard warned that tariffs would hurt Washington too.
"In this escalation of tariffs, (Trump) has a lot to lose as well, as do his own farmers and industrialists," she told broadcasters Europe 1 and CNews.
Norway, also targeted by Trump's tariffs threat but like Britain not an EU member, said it was not currently looking at retaliation against US goods.
"I think one needs to stop and think so that a trade war can be averted that would lead to a downward spiral," Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store told NRK television. "Nobody would win."

US President Donald Trump held open the possibility Wednesday for a resolution on his designs over Greenland after Denmark's top diplomat said he failed to change the administration's mind on wanting to conquer the island.
The foreign ministers of Denmark and Greenland, an autonomous territory under Copenhagen's sovereignty, met at the White House with Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio in a meeting the visitors had requested to clear up "misunderstandings" after Trump's bellicose language toward the fellow NATO member.
Trump, speaking after the meeting which he did not attend, for the first time sounded conciliatory on Greenland, acknowledging Denmark's interests even if he again said he was not ruling out any options.
"I have a very good relationship with Denmark, and we'll see how it all works out. I think something will work out," Trump said without explaining further.
He again said Denmark was powerless if Russia or China wanted to occupy Greenland, but added: "There's everything we can do."
Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen, speaking after leaving the White House, said a US takeover of Greenland was "absolutely not necessary."
"We didn't manage to change the American position. It's clear that the president has this wish of conquering over Greenland," Lokke told reporters.
"We therefore still have a fundamental disagreement, but we also agree to disagree."
He said the issue was "very emotional" for the people of Greenland and Denmark, a steadfast US ally whose troops died alongside Americans in Afghanistan and, controversially, Iraq.
"Ideas that would not respect territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark and the right of self-determination of the Greenlandic people are, of course, totally unacceptable," Lokke said.
He nonetheless said the tone was "constructive" and said the sides would form a committee that would meet within weeks to see if there was possible headway.
Referring to the British prime minister who trumpeted his diplomacy with Hitler, Lokke said, "I am not a Chamberlain to say "Peace for our time," but we must seize the opportunities that present themselves."
 - Mocking tone -
While the talks were underway, the White House posted on X: "Which way, Greenland man?"
The post included a drawing of two dogsleds -- one heading towards the White House and a huge US flag, and the other towards Chinese and Russian flags over a lightning-bathed Kremlin and Great Wall of China.
Neither country has claimed Greenland, and Lokke said no Chinese ship had been spotted there in a decade and that there were no major Chinese investments.
Denmark promised ahead of the meeting to ramp up its military presence further in the vast, sparsely populated and strategically located island.
Trump has derided recent Danish efforts to increase security for Greenland as amounting to "two dogsleds." Denmark says it has invested almost $14 billion in Arctic security.
Denmark also announced immediate military exercises that will include aircraft, vessels and soldiers, with Sweden also participating.
In another show of solidarity with Denmark following Trump's threats, Germany and France both said Wednesday they will send troops to Greenland. German's defense ministry said it would send a 13-person team.
 - Signs of relief -
On the quiet streets of the capital Nuuk, red and white Greenlandic flags flew in shop windows, on apartment balconies, and on cars and buses, in a show of national unity during the talks.
Ivaana Egede Larsen, 43, said she felt relief that the meeting appeared to be cordial.
"I am more calm now, and I feel more safe. I had felt very much unsafe lately," she said.
In Copenhagen, Thomas Fallesen, 56, voiced similar sentiments.
"They are now at least talking together instead of talking through the press. I think it's a very positive thing," he said.
Vance, who slammed Denmark as a "bad ally" during an uninvited visit to Greenland last year, is known for a hard edge, which was on display when he publicly berated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office last February.
Wednesday's meeting, however, was closed to the press, meaning there was no on-camera confrontation.
Trump has appeared emboldened on Greenland -- which he views as in the US backyard -- since ordering a deadly January 3 attack in Venezuela that removed president Nicolas Maduro.

Since returning to office nearly a year ago, Trump has mused about taking over the vast, strategic and sparsely populated Arctic island, and he has sounded emboldened since ordering a deadly January 3 attack in Venezuela that removed its president.
Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen had sought the talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The meeting will take place at the White House, after Vice President JD Vance requested to join.
On requesting the meeting, Lokke said he was hoping to "clear up certain misunderstandings." But it remains to be seen if the Trump administration also sees a misunderstanding and if it wants to climb down.
Trump, when asked Tuesday about Greenland's leader saying that the island prefers to remain an autonomous territory of Denmark, said: "Well that's their problem."
"Don't know anything about him, but that's going to be a big problem for him," Trump said.
Trump, a real-estate developer, said on Friday that he wanted Greenland "whether they like it or not" and "if we don't do it the easy way, we're going to do it the hard way."
According to Trump, the United States needs Greenland due to the threat of a takeover by Russia or China.
The two rival powers have both stepped up activity in the Arctic, where ice is melting due to climate change, but neither claims Greenland.
With an echo of America's 19th-century self-conception of possessing a "Manifest Destiny" to expand, Trump has spoken of the need for the United States to grow.
Incorporating Greenland, which has 57,000 people, would catapult the United States past China and Canada to be the world's second largest country in land mass after Russia.
 - Is cooperation possible? -
Vance in March paid an uninvited visit to Greenland. He stayed only at Pituffik, the longstanding US base on the island, and did not mingle with local residents.
Vance is known for his hard edge, which was on display when he berated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly during a White House meeting in February.
It has not been announced if the Greenland meeting will be open to the press. If not, it would reduce chances of a similar, televised confrontation.
"If the US continues with, 'We have to have Greenland at all cost,' it could be a very short meeting," said Penny Naas, a senior vice president at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, a Washington think tank.
"If there is a slight nuance to it, it could lead to a different conversation," she said.
Greenland's top diplomat Vivian Motzfeldt will join the talks. Her government as well as Denmark have been firm against Trump's designs.
"One thing must be clear to everyone: Greenland does not want to be owned by the United States. Greenland does not want to be governed by the United States. Greenland does not want to be part of the United States," Greenland's Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen said at a press conference ahead of the White House talks.
He was speaking alongside Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, who said it had not been easy to stand up to "completely unacceptable pressure from our closest ally."
Denmark has rejected US claims it is not protecting Greenland from Russia and China, recalling that it has invested almost 90 billion kroner ($14 billion) to beef up its military presence in the Arctic.
Denmark is a founding member of NATO and its military joined the United States in the wars in Afghanistan and, controversially, Iraq.
Shortly after the White House talks, a senior delegation from the US Congress -- mostly Democrats, but with one Republican -- will visit Copenhagen to offer solidarity.

Trump has been talking up the idea of buying or annexing the autonomous territory for years, and further stoked tensions this week by saying the United States would take it "one way or the other".
"We are now facing a geopolitical crisis, and if we have to choose between the United States and Denmark here and now, we choose Denmark," Greenland's Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen said at a press conference.
"One thing must be clear to everyone: Greenland does not want to be owned by the United States. Greenland does not want to be governed by the United States. Greenland does not want to be part of the United States."
He was speaking alongside Danish leader Mette Frederiksen, who said it had not been easy to stand up to what she slammed as "completely unacceptable pressure from our closest ally".
"However, there are many indications that the most challenging part is ahead of us," Frederiksen said.
Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen and his Greenlandic counterpart Vivian Motzfeldt are to meet US Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday to discuss Greenland's future.
Lokke said they had requested a meeting with Rubio, and Vance had asked to take part and host it at the White House.
Vance made an uninvited visit to the island in March where he criticised Denmark for what he said was a lack of commitment to Greenland and security in the Arctic, and called it a "bad ally".
The comments enraged Copenhagen, which has been an ardent trans-Atlantic supporter and which has sent troops to fight US wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
 - 'Misunderstandings' -
For Nuuk and Copenhagen, Wednesday's meeting at the White House is aimed at ironing out "misunderstandings".
These relate to Greenland's defence, Chinese and Russian military presence in the Arctic, and the relationship between Greenland and Copenhagen, which together with the Faroe Islands make up the Kingdom of Denmark.
"To the uninformed American listener, the ongoing (independence) talks between Denmark and Greenland might have been construed as if Greenland's secession from Denmark was imminent," said Greenland specialist Mikaela Engell.
For these listeners, "I can understand that, in this situation, it would be better for the Americans to take hold of that strategic place", the former Danish representative on the island told AFP.
But this "discussion has been going on for years and years and it has never meant that Greenland was on its way out the door", she stressed.
Denmark's foreign minister said the reason Copenhagen and Nuuk had requested Wednesday's meeting was "to move the entire discussion... into a meeting room, where you can look each other in the eye and talk through these issues".
Greenland's location is highly strategic, lying on the shortest route for missiles between Russia and the United States. It is therefore a crucial part of the US anti-missile shield.
Washington has accused Copenhagen of doing little to protect Greenland from what it perceives as a growing Arctic threat from Russia and China, though analysts suggest Beijing is a small player in the region.
Denmark's government has rejected US claims, recalling that it has invested almost 90 billion kroner ($14 billion) to beef up its military presence in the Arctic.
The Danish prime minister on Tuesday called for stronger cooperation with the US and NATO to improve the region's security.
She also called for NATO to defend Greenland, and said that security guarantees would be "the best defence against Chinese or Russian threats in the Arctic".
Diplomats at NATO say some Alliance members have floated the idea of launching a new mission in the region, although no concrete proposals are yet on the table.
Rutte said on Monday that NATO was working on "the next steps" to bolster Arctic security.
Greenland's foreign minister and Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen are to meet NATO's Secretary General Mark Rutte on January 19 to discuss the issue.
"We are now moving forward with the whole issue of a more permanent, larger presence in Greenland from the Danish defence forces but also with the participation of other countries," Lund Poulsen told reporters.

"I guess my advice to European leaders and anybody else would be to take the president of the United States seriously," Vance told a briefing at the White House when asked about Greenland.
Vance urged them to respond in particular to Trump's insistence that the United States needs the island for "missile defense," with Moscow and Beijing increasing military activities nearby and the Arctic ice melting due to climate change.
"So what we're asking our European friends to do is to take the security of that land mass more seriously, because if they're not, the United States is going to have to do something about it," Vance said.

A flurry of diplomacy is underway as Europeans try to head off a crisis while at the same time avoiding the wrath of Trump, who is nearing the end of his first year back in power.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer "set out his position on Greenland" during a call with Trump on Wednesday and then said more could be done to protect the "high Arctic" from Russia in a second call on Thursday, Downing Street said.
Vance was meeting British Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy in Washington for talks that would focus on the Ukraine war, but where Greenland could come up.
European countries have stood in solidarity with Denmark, with key leaders issuing a joint statement with Copenhagen saying it was for Denmark and Greenland alone to decide its fate.
French President Emmanuel Macron even warned on Thursday that the United States was "turning away" from allies in some of his strongest criticism yet of Trump's policies.
Macron said "global governance" was key at a time when "every day people wonder whether Greenland is going to be invaded."
Vance, however, has long been critical of Europe over defense issues, saying in a leaked chat with senior US officials last year that he hated "bailing out" the continent.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the US administration was considering multiple options. &ldquo;President Trump has made it well known that acquiring Greenland is a national security priority of the United States, and it's vital to deter our adversaries in the Arctic region,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;The President and his team are discussing a range of options to pursue this important foreign policy goal, and of course, utilising the US Military is always an option at the Commander in Chief's disposal.&rdquo;
Meanwhile, Denmark and Greenland&rsquo;s envoys to Washington met White House officials on Thursday to urge US lawmakers and senior administration officials to step back from the Greenland plan. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is expected to meet Danish officials next week.

US President Donald Trump is considering making an offer to buy Greenland, the White House said Wednesday, despite the island's people and controlling power Denmark making clear the territory is not for sale.
Trump has repeatedly refused to rule out using force to seize the strategic Arctic island, prompting shock and anger from Denmark and other longstanding European allies of the United States.
After a request from Copenhagen to clear up misunderstandings, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he would soon hold discussions with Danish representatives.
"I'll be meeting with them next week. We'll have those conversations with them then," Rubio told reporters.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Trump and his national security team have "actively discussed" the option of buying Greenland.
She reiterated that Trump believed it was in the US interest to acquire sparsely populated Greenland, whose size is around that of the largest US state, Alaska.
"He views it in the best interest of the United States to deter Russian and Chinese aggression in the Arctic region. And so that's why his team is currently talking about what a potential purchase would look like," Leavitt told reporters.
Neither Leavitt nor Rubio ruled out the use of force. But Leavitt said, "The president's first option, always, has been diplomacy."
House Speaker Mike Johnson, speaking as Rubio and Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth briefed lawmakers, also said that the administration was "looking at diplomatic channels."
"I don't think anybody's talking about using military force in Greenland," Johnson said.
Johnson, however, has acknowledged he had no prior notice when Trump on Saturday ordered a deadly attack on Venezuela, in which US forces removed the president, Nicolas Maduro.
The at least tactical success of the operation has appeared to embolden Trump, who has since mused publicly about US intervention in Greenland, Cuba, Iran, Mexico and Colombia.
 - 'Stay focused on real threats' -
Senator Thom Tillis, a Republican who is retiring, criticized Trump's threats in a joint statement with Democrat Jeanne Shaheen, the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
"When Denmark and Greenland make it clear that Greenland is not for sale, the United States must honor its treaty obligations and respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark," they said in a joint statement.
"We must stay focused on the real threats before us and work with our allies, not against them, to advance our shared security."
Greenland's leaders have insisted that the island, a semi-autonomous territory under Denmark, is not for sale and that only its 57,000 people should decide its future.
Greenland's foreign minister, Vivian Motzfeldt, said the government would join the meeting with Rubio that she hoped would "lead to a normalization of our relations" with the United States.
"Greenland needs the United States and the United States needs Greenland when it comes to security in the Arctic," she told Danish public broadcaster DR.
 - Threat of sanctions -
Taking a different tone, Austrian Vice Chancellor Andreas Babler urged European leaders to draw up a sanctions package as a "deterrent" against a US invasion of Greenland.
The measures could include "harsh sanctions" against US technology companies and punitive tariffs on US agricultural products, said Babler, who heads Austria's left-of-center Social Democrats.
"Given the close ties between American tech companies and the Trump administration, tough sanctions... would be an effective lever," Babler said.
Sanctions within the Western bloc once seemed extraordinary, but the Trump administration has already stunned Europeans with US action against judges and senior EU policymakers.
Denmark is a founding member of NATO and has been a steadfast US ally, including controversially sending troops to support the 2003 US invasion of Iraq.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has warned that an invasion of Greenland would end "everything" -- NATO and the post-World War II security structure.
Trump, in sharp contrast to previous US presidents, has criticized NATO, seeing it not as an instrument of US power but as smaller countries freeloading off US military spending.
"We will always be there for NATO, even if they won't be there for us," Trump wrote Wednesday on his Truth Social platform.

US President Donald Trump doubled down Sunday on his claim that Greenland should become part of the United States, despite calls by Denmark's prime minister to stop "threatening" the territory.
Washington's military intervention in Venezuela has reignited fears for Greenland, which Trump has repeatedly said he wants to annex, given its strategic location in the Arctic.
While aboard Air Force One en route to Washington, Trump reiterated the goal.
"We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security, and Denmark is not going to be able to do it," he said in response to a reporter's question.
"We'll worry about Greenland in about two months... let's talk about Greenland in 20 days."
Over the weekend, the Danish prime minister called on Washington to stop "threatening its historical ally".
"I have to say this very clearly to the United States: it is absolutely absurd to say that the United States should take control of Greenland," Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said in a statement.
She also noted that Denmark, "and thus Greenland", was a NATO member protected by the agreement's security guarantees.
 -'Disrespectful' -
Trump rattled European leaders by attacking Caracas and grabbing Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro, who is now being detained in New York.
Trump has said the United States will now "run" Venezuela indefinitely and tap its huge oil reserves.
Asked in a telephone interview with The Atlantic about the implications of the Venezuela military operation for mineral-rich Greenland, Trump said it was up to others to decide.
"They are going to have to view it themselves. I really don't know," Trump was quoted as saying.
He added: "But we do need Greenland, absolutely. We need it for defence."
Hours later, former aide Katie Miller, the wife of Trump's most influential adviser, drew ire by posting an image of Greenland in the colours of the US flag, captioning it "SOON".
Greenland's Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen called Miller's post "disrespectful".
"Relations between nations and peoples are built on mutual respect and international law -- not on symbolic gestures that disregard our status and our rights," he wrote on X.
But he also said "there is neither reason for panic nor for concern. Our country is not for sale, and our future is not decided by social media posts".
 - Allies? -
Stephen Miller is widely seen as the architect of much of Trump's policies, guiding the president on his hardline immigration policies and domestic agenda.
Denmark's ambassador to the United States, Jesper Moeller Soerensen, offered a pointed "friendly reminder" in response to Katie Miller's post that his country has "significantly boosted its Arctic security efforts" and worked together with Washington on that.
"We are close allies and should continue to work together as such," Soerensen wrote.
Katie Miller was deputy press secretary under Trump at the Department of Homeland Security during his first term.
She later worked as communications director for then-vice president Mike Pence and also acted as his press secretary.

A huge fire on Tuesday devastated Copenhagen's 17th century former stock exchange toppling the historic building's landmark spire in front of horrified witnesses.

The 54-metre (180-foot) spire disappeared into flames at the Borsen building, which has been undergoing renovation, an AFP journalist saw.
The spire snapped and crashed down onto the street below. Dramatic photographs showed huge plumes of black smoke emerging from the building.
The Borsen building, commissioned by King Christian IV and built between 1619 and 1640, is one of Copenhagen's best known landmarks.
"Terrifying images from Borsen this morning. 400 years of Danish cultural heritage going up in flames," Culture Minister Jakob Engel-Schmidt wrote in a post to X, the former Twitter.
The images recalled the disaster at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, almost five years ago to the day when its spire was also destroyed by a fire.
"This is our Notre Dame, it is our national treasure," said Elisabeth Moltke, a 45-year-old Copenhagen resident, who watched the blaze. &nbsp;Others could not hold back tears as they watched the devastation.
Engel-Schmidt said he had been moved by seeing employees, rescue workers and residents working to "rescue art treasures and iconic paintings from the burning building."
Images from the scene showed several people rescuing works of art, including a painting of the building.
Located next to the Danish parliament, Christiansborg Palace, the building housed the stock exchange until the 1970s and currently serves as the headquarters of the Danish Chamber of Commerce.
According to the Danish Chamber of Commerce the fire started at 7:30 am (0530 GMT).
"We are currently working on saving everything that can be saved," director Morten Langager, said in a post to X.
Police said they had blocked off parts of the city centre as part of the fire fighting efforts.
The red-brick and copper roof building, one of the oldest in the Danish capital, was undergoing renovation work when it caught fire, the cause of which was yet unknown.

More than 140 Greenlandic women sued the Danish state Monday for forcing them to have a coil, or intrauterine device (IUD), fitted in the 1960s and 1970s even though many were barely teens.
Denmark had carried out the campaign quietly, without the women's consent or even knowledge in some cases, to limit the birth rate in the Arctic territory, which was no longer a colony at the time but still under Danish control.
"The lawsuit was filed this morning. My clients chose to do this because they received no reply to their request for compensation in October," the lawyer for the plaintiffs, Mads Pramming, told AFP.
"Their human rights were violated, they are the living proof."
A podcast series by Danish public broadcaster DR that aired in 2022 revealed the extent of the campaign -- more than 4,500 women, based on data from the national archives -- and came as Denmark and Greenland, which became an autonomous territory in 2009, re-examine their past relationship.
In October, 67 women demanded the state pay them financial compensation of 300,000 kroner ($44,000) each.
"Since then, more women have joined us. The oldest one is 85 years old," Pramming said.
A total of 143 women are suing the Danish state.
In the late 1960s and 1970s, some 4,500 young Inuits were forced to undergo the procedure without their consent or that of their family.
Many of the women were not aware they had been fitted with an IUD and Greenlandic gynaecologists until recently continued to find IUDs in women who had no idea they were there.
An inquiry launched last year into Denmark's entire Greenland policy is due to be published in 2025.
"When it comes to (the women's) case, the inquiry and its conclusions won't be significant. It will not decide whether their rights were violated but the courts can make such a decision," Pramming said.
In 2022, the Danish state apologised and paid compensation to six Inuits more than 70 years after they were separated from their families to take part in an experiment aimed at creating a Danish-speaking elite on the vast Arctic island.

The Scandinavian nation has been viewed abroad as a place that facilitates insults and denigration of the cultures, religions and traditions of other countries. The purpose of the law was to counter &ldquo;the systematic mockery&rdquo; which, among other things, has contributed to intensifying the threat of terrorism in Denmark, the justice ministry has said.
The Folketing, or parliament, adopted the law in a 94-77 vote, with eight lawmakers absent. The new legislation will make it a crime &ldquo;to inappropriately treat, publicly or with the intention of dissemination in a wider circle, a writing with significant religious significance for a religious community or an object that appears as such&rdquo;.
Works of art where &ldquo;a minor part&rdquo; includes a desecration, but is part of a larger artistic production, isn't covered by the ban.
During the more than four-hour debate, left-leaning and far-right parties united against the centre-right government, repeatedly demanding that the three-party coalition that presented the draft on Aug 25, take part in the discussion. The government didn't say anything and were called &ldquo;cowards&rdquo; by the opposition.
&ldquo;Does Iran change its legislation because Denmark feels offended by something an Iranian could do? Does Pakistan? Does Saudi Arabia? The answer is no,&rdquo; Karina Lorentzen of the Socialist People's Party asked rhetorically.
Inger St&oslash;jberg of the anti-immigration Denmark Democrats said the new law was a capitulation to Islam and a bowing down to countries that &ldquo;do not share (our) set of values.&rdquo; &ldquo;A restriction of freedom of expression is wrong in a modern and enlightened society like the Danish one,&rdquo; St&oslash;jberg said.
This year alone, activists have staged more than 500 protests, including burnings of the Quran, in front of embassies of Muslim countries, places of worship and in immigrant neighbourhoods.
Denmark has repeatedly distanced itself from the desecrations, but has insisted that freedom of expression is one of the most important values in Danish society. The government has said there must &ldquo;be room for religious criticism&rdquo; and that there were no plans to reintroduce a blasphemy clause that was repealed in 2017.
In 2006, Denmark was at the centre of widespread anger in the Muslim world after a Danish newspaper posted 12 cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, including one wearing a bomb as a turban. Muslims consider images of the prophet to be sacrilegious and encouraging idolatry. The images escalated into violent anti-Denmark protests by Muslims worldwide.
Those who violate the new law face fines or up to two years in prison. Before it takes effect, Denmark's figurehead monarch Queen Margrethe needs to formally sign it. That is expected to happen later this month.

Denmark's kit supplier Hummel has toned down its logo on the jerseys which the national side will don during the FIFA World Cup 2022. The move came as protest against Qatar's human rights record.
Hummel's red logo is barely visible on the team jersey. The kit supplier wrote in a post on Instagram that they don't wish to be visible during a tournament that has cost thousands of people their lives. It was a reference to reports of deaths and injuries among migrant workers and harsh working conditions.
"We support the Danish national team all the way, but that isn't the same as supporting Qatar as a host nation," the statement added.
Apart from the traditional red jersey, the grey and black jersey was also presented with a barely visible logo.
Apart from that, Denmark's training jerseys will carry "critical messages", with two sponsors agreeing to have their logos replaced.
