Government staffers said that they will continue their strike.

Protesting government employees in West Bengal filed a police complaint after a poster threatened a bomb attack on the demonstrators.
The government employees were staging a protest for a dearness allowance (DA) hike.
The poster found at the protest venue in Dharmatala allegedly called the demonstration "drama", and said that the protest must be "called off" or participants will be "bombed".
Government staffers said that they will continue their strike.

Ahead of Diwali festival, the Cabinet approved 4%  additional instalment of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief to central government employees and pensioners. 
The latest increase in DA will benefit around 47.68 lakh central government employees and about 68.62 lakh pensioners and is also applicable for civilian employees and those employed in defence services.
According to reports, the central government employees and pensioners will become entitled to higher amount of Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) respectively, with effect from July 1, 2022. 
The central government revises dearness allowance and dearness relief on 1 January and 1 July every year, but this decision is usually announced in March and September. 
Earlier in March, the Cabinet had hiked the DA for central government employees and DR for pensioners by 3% to 34% from 31% previously, effective 1 January, 2022.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has opened government purse strings ahead of the elections next year.
The UP CM on Wednesday announced increasing dearness allowance for all state government employees from 28% to 31%. Further sweetening the deal, Yogi announced that the 3% hike will be applicable from July 2021, ensuring 5 months of arrears to the employees.
The Yogi government has also hiked monthly honorarium of village heads and panchayat officials.
The honorarium of village heads will be increased from Rs 3,500 to Rs 5,000 per month, kshetra panchayat heads will not get Rs 11,300 per month instead of Rs 9,800 and district panchayat chairpersons will be paid Rs 15,500 per month up from Rs 14,000 till now.
CM Yogi Adityanath has also announced an increase in the meeting allowance of district panchayat members from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 per meeting for a maximum of six meetings annually.
Similarly, the meeting allowance of kshetra panchayat members will be increased from Rs 500 per meeting to Rs 1,000 for a maximum of six meetings annually.
He announced that gram panchayat members will get Rs 100 per meeting for a maximum of 12 meetings a year.
He also announced financial assistance, ranging between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, for dependents of village heads, kshetra panchayat heads, district panchayat chairpersons in case of their untimely death.

The Opposition Congress on Saturday accused the Centre of adopting a malevolent approach towards scores of its employees, Army staff and pensioners with regard to the payment of dearness allowance and demanded immediate repayment of arrears.
Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, &ldquo;This non-payment highlights and underlines the clear hypocrisy and double standard of the government, which speaks in two voices because these figures are undeniable, well-known and universal.&rdquo;
Singhvi&nbsp;further said that on April 23, 2020, the government had kicked the people&rsquo;s stomachs by cutting Rs 37,500 crore, which was admittedly payable as DA by the 7th Pay Commission to 115 lakh army staff, pensioners from the armed forces, and serving employees and pensioners of the Central government.
