Actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty was awarded the Most Promising Actor award for his Kannada film &lsquo;Kantara&rsquo;. Varun Dhawan won the Critics Best Actor award for his film &lsquo;Bhediya&rsquo;.
Alia Bhatt received the Best Actress award for &lsquo;Gangubai Kathiawadi&rsquo; and her actor, husband Ranbir Kapoor won Best Actor award for &lsquo;Brahmastra&rsquo;
Veteran actor Rekha was honoured with an award for her &lsquo;Outstanding Contribution In The Film Industry&rsquo; and Hariharan won an award for &lsquo;Outstanding Contribution In The Music Industry&rsquo;. In the television category, &lsquo;Anupamaa&rsquo;, starring Rupali Ganguly, won the Television Series of The Year award.

Many celebrities attended the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023 in Mumbai on Monday night.

A slew of celebrities attended the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023 in Mumbai on Monday night. Many stars received the prestigious award in different categories.
Alia Bhatt bagged the Best Actress award for her stellar performance in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', while her husband received the Best Actor award for his remarkable work in 'Brahmastra'. Alia, who attended the event alone as Ranbir was busy with his work commitments, accepted the trophy on his behalf.
She also met up with veteran actor Rekha, who received the award for her Outstanding Contribution In The Film Industry. The duo posed with their trophies on the red carpet. Prior to receiving the award, the stars were seen laughing and chatting while posing for the shutterbugs.
Anupam Kher, Varun Dhawan, R Balki and Hariharan were also clicked at the event.

Veteran actor Asha Parekh will be conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke award for 2020, the highest recognition in the field of Indian cinema, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur confirmed on Tuesday. This award is India's highest award in the field of cinema. She has been honoured with the award for her outstanding contribution to the Film Industry. She was also awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1992 for her services to the cinema.    The official Instagram account of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival posted the same with a caption that read, ‘Congratulations to Asha Parekh for winning the award for Outstanding Contribution To Film Industry at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards2022. Your hard work and perseverance have paid off. Team DPIFF wishes you good luck in your future endeavors.’    Asha Parekh is considered as one of the most influential actresses of Indian cinema. The 79-year-old actor is best known for films such as ‘Dil Deke Dekho’, ‘Kati Patang’, ‘Teesri Manzil’, and ‘Caravan’.     The Dadasaheb Phalke award is presented every year at the National Film Awards ceremony by the Directorate of Film Festivals, a Ministry of Information and Broadcasting body.

Asha Parekh was also awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1992 for her services to the cinema.
