To mitigate the risk of blood clotting, you must adopt lifestyle changes such as exercising for at least 30 minutes daily, staying hydrated and maintaining a healthy diet. You must avoid smoking and alcohol.&nbsp;
To reduce the likelihood of blood clotting, incorporate blood-thinning foods into your diet such as ginger, garlic, turmeric, fish oil, and vitamin C-rich foods like almonds, sunflower seeds, spinach, oranges, lemons and grapes.

Blood clotting, also known as coagulation, is a crucial process that prevents excessive bleeding when the body is injured. It involves a series of complex steps where blood changes from a liquid to a gel-like state, forming a clot to stop bleeding. Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla in an interview to CNBC-TV18 on Tuesday said that the company has decided to cut production of Covishield, by as much as 50% as there aren’t any further orders from the Centre. 
He, however, added that the vaccine-manufacturer will keep excess production capacity for exigencies. Poonwalla said that the company doesn't want to be in a situation where it is unable to provide vaccines for 6 months. 
Speaking on on the efficacy of the current vaccines against Omicron, Poonawalla said there’s no reason to believe that existing jabs will not work.  He said that Indian experts have deemed the level of protection as very good, adding that Astrazenaca had 80% efficacy against the virus as per Lancet.

Concerns with pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
Pregnancy does not increase the risk to Covid-19 infection, but current evidence indicates that pregnant women are at an increased risk for severe illness from Covid-19 compared to women who are not pregnant, in case they get infected.
A pregnant woman who opts for vaccination, could be vaccinated at any time of the pregnancy.
Pregnant women should discuss the vaccination plan with their doctors. According to the guidelines given by the Ministry of Health in India, pregnant women will be informed about the risks of exposure to Covid-19 infection along with the risks and benefits of vaccines available in the country, before she decides to take the jab.
The vaccines are safe for breastfeeding mothers, and do not harm a woman&rsquo;s ability to become pregnant.
Conclusion: People hesitate to get vaccinated for many reasons, they can range from personal beliefs, fears to logistical problems in getting to vaccine sites.
But time is of the essence. Waiting too long to be vaccinated allows the coronavirus to continue spreading in the community, and with&nbsp;new variants emerging, this could leave large groups at risk.

As per ANI&nbsp;and government sources, the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation in India (NTAGI) will decide on the dosage gap of Covishield. There have been fluctuations&nbsp;in the gap between dose 1 and 2 with reports earlier this month had stated that the government is in discussions on narrowing the gap. The current gap between two doses of the vaccine has been set at 12-16 weeks for all adults.&nbsp;The NTAGI had earlier recommended a randomized trial of varying dosage intervals of Covishield and other vaccines and asked the Serum Institute of India (SII), the maker of the Oxford-AstraZeneca-developed vaccine, to study the effects of varying gaps between vaccines.

Amid reports on review in reduction of the 84-day gap between Covishield&nbsp;doses, top expert NK Arora clarified there is no such plan right now.
Dr Arora who is the Chairman of National Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation in India (NTAGI) said that Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine or IAPSM recommended a reduction of the gap but it had been denied.
The current gap between two doses of the vaccine has been set at 12-16 weeks for all adults.
Dr Arora asserted that the decision was based on studies that the longer the gap, the more the antibodies and therefore, greater protection from Covid.&nbsp;
Narrowing of gap between the two doses for adults above 45 years was earlier suggested&nbsp;due to increase in availability of vaccine.
The NTAGI had earlier recommended a randomized trial of varying dosage intervals of Covishield and other vaccines and asked the Serum Institute of India (SII), the maker of the Oxford-AstraZeneca-developed vaccine, to study the effects of varying gaps between vaccines.

EMA to assess Serum's manufacturing site before giving approval needed for Green Pass.

Serum's manufacturing site will have to assessed for Covishield to get Green Pass approval by EMA&nbsp;as per reports.&nbsp; The EMA&nbsp;said that approval for&nbsp;AstraZenca&nbsp;manufatcured&nbsp;Vaxzevria&nbsp;does not mean nod for Covishield. In an email as reported by News18 EMA&nbsp;stated&nbsp;&ldquo;Even tiny differences in the manufacturing conditions can result in differences in the final product, and EU law therefore requires the manufacturing sites and production process to be assessed and approved as part of the authorisation process.&rdquo; However, the EMA&nbsp;also has clarified that the authority to issue or approve a green pass for travellers rests with the EU nation members but is linked with linked to EU marketing authorisation for vaccines which currently Serum's Covishield&nbsp;does not have.&nbsp;
