<p>This event, which sold 1.3 lakh tickets, was India&rsquo;s largest-ever concert and marked a significant milestone for the live concert industry. People from across the country and beyond traveled to witness this spectacular show, contributing to a surge in tourism and local economy.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The event was a result of impeccable coordination between the Gujarat government, local authorities, and concert organizers.</p>
<p>Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the Gujarat government provided crucial support to ensure a smooth and successful event. They ensured top-tier security, seamless traffic management, and efficient transportation for attendees. <p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged the importance of the concert, saying, "You must have seen fabulous pictures of the Coldplay concert organised in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. It shows that India has a massive scope for live concerts. Big artists from around the world are attracted towards India... I expect the state and the private sector to focus on needed infrastructure and skills."</p>
<p>This event adds to Gujarat&rsquo;s growing reputation as a prime hub for international events, which already includes successful hosting of the G-20 Summit and the Cricket World Cup in 2023.&nbsp;</p>
<p>CM Bhupendra Patel stated, "Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Gujarat has successfully hosted major international events such as the G-20 Summit and the Cricket World Cup in 2023. With world-class infrastructure in place, the state continues to attract global events. The success of Coldplay's concert only reinforces Gujarat's standing as a top destination for international gatherings."</p>
<p>In addition to the concert&rsquo;s success, Ahmedabad&rsquo;s metro saw an incredible spike in ridership. Over two days, the metro recorded 4,05,264 passengers, surpassing numbers from other major sporting events. The concert generated Rs 66 lakh in metro revenue, exceeding figures from the 2023 Cricket World Cup and IPL events.</p>
<p>The concert&rsquo;s security and logistical efforts were noteworthy, with more than 1,800 police personnel deployed to ensure a safe experience.&nbsp;</p>
<p>To maintain security, the venue was monitored using advanced CCTV systems, and two dedicated control rooms were established.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Waste management was also handled efficiently, with over 1,500 tons of waste cleared within 48 hours, thanks to 492 sanitation workers, 14 JCB machines, and 27 trucks.</p>
<p>The Coldplay concert also provided a significant economic boost to the local economy, with over 900 flights arriving at Ahmedabad International Airport in just three days. Visitors from across the country and the world not only attended the concert but also explored the city's cultural landmarks.&nbsp;</p>
<p>This influx of visitors benefitted local businesses, including hotels, restaurants, and street vendors.</p>
<p>Coldplay&rsquo;s India leg of the Music of the Spheres tour started on January 16, 2025. Their final show at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Republic Day was a spectacular conclusion.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Chris Martin paid a heartfelt tribute to India during the performance, singing songs like "Vande Mataram" and "Maa Tujhhe Salaam," which deeply resonated with the crowd.</p>

In the past decade, both the trend and demand for live events have grown. You must have seen the incredible images from the Coldplay concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad in recent days. This is proof of how much scope live concerts have in India," Modi said.</p>
<p>He further noted that top international artists are increasingly drawn to India. Modi called on both the state and private sectors to invest in the infrastructure needed to support the growing concert economy, which can generate jobs and boost tourism. He also shared that India will host the first-ever World Audio-Visual Summit next month, a move to establish India's creative industry on the global stage.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"The concert economy boosts tourism and creates a large number of jobs. I urge both the state and private sectors to focus on the necessary infrastructure for the concert economy. Next month, India will host the first-ever World Audio-Visual Summit, a major event that will give the country's creative power a new identity globally. The revenue generated from such events in the states also contributes to advancing the economy," he added.</p>
<p>Additionally, PM Modi spoke about the ongoing development of specialized infrastructure across India, which is rapidly making the country an attractive investment destination. He mentioned projects like the dedicated freight corridor connecting the East and West coasts and industrial cities being built with plug-and-play facilities.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In Odisha, major investments are being made in the railway and highway network, including the development of new ports to boost the state's blue economy.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"Thousands of crores of rupees are being invested in railway and highway network projects here. To reduce the logistics cost for industries in Odisha, the government is connecting the state's ports with industrial clusters. Alongside the existing ports, new ports are being developed, which means Odisha is set to join the country's top states in terms of blue economy," PM Modi said.</p>
<p>Further, PM Modi stressed the importance of creating a strong domestic supply and value chain, which could shield India from global disruptions. He called for increased support for MSMEs and start-ups, and highlighted the role of research and innovation in industrial growth.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"We need to create a strong supply and value chain within India, one that is minimally affected by global ups and downs. This is a major responsibility for both the government and the industry. Therefore, no matter which industry you belong to, it is important to support the related MSMEs, help them grow, and provide handholding. You should also support as many young start-ups as possible," he said.</p>
<p>The Prime Minister also emphasized that no industry can progress without embracing new technologies. To facilitate this, the government is focusing on building a vibrant research ecosystem across the country, including a special fund for research and innovation, and packages for internships and skill development.&nbsp;</p>

Following this, Halloween celebrations, festivals, events and parades have been cancelled in the country and South Korea's President Yoon Suk-yeol has declared a period of national mourning till November 5.</p>
<p>According to Korean Times, Everland theme park has closed all festivals, including a parade featuring classic Halloween characters such as skeletons and witches, till November 20. Another theme park, Lotte World, located in southeastern Seoul, has also cancelled its Halloween-themed events.</p>
