Mohammed Kudus paid a tribute to Christian Atsu after scoring for Ajax!

Atsu had been missing since the immediate aftermath of the Turkey earthquake and although it was initially thought he had survived the quake, his agent revealed this week he had perished in a building he was living in, in Antakya.

Kudus, who was a part of Ghana's senior squad in 2019 at the same time as Atsu, scored from a free kick in the 84th minute of the match and then ran to the sideline and lifted his Ajax shirt to reveal another white shirt underneath with RIP Atsu written on it.

Ghana's Christian Atsu has been found dead under the rubble, 12 days after the massive Turkey earthquake. Murat Uzunmehmet, the Hatayspor player's agent said, 'his lifeless body was found under the rubble in the Turkish southern province of Hatay'. The athlete went missing following the catastrophic 7.8 magnitude earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria on February 6th.&nbsp;

Earlier reports claimed that Atsu had been rescued but the player's agent, Nana Sechere, announced on social media that his whereabouts are still unknown.

While authorities were able to locate Christian Atsu’s room where two pairs of his shoes were also found, they are yet to find the player through the rubble.

Earlier reports claimed that Atsu had been rescued but the player's agent, Nana Sechere, announced on social media that his whereabouts are still unknown.

Ghana football star Christian Atsu is still missing more than 11 days after the 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey &amp; Syria.
His agent Nana Sechere confirmed that the authorities are yet to locate the 31-year-old who is contracted with Turkish club Hatayspor.
Sechere told CNN that while Atsu&rsquo;s room had been located and two pairs of his shoes were found, authorities are yet to find the player through the rubble.

While Atsu's club Hatayspor had earlier released a statement claiming the player had been taken to the hospital, his agent Sechere wrote on Twitter that they are yet to confirm Atsu's whereabouts.
Ghana's ambassador to Turkey had also confirmed to an Accra-based radio station on February 7 that Atsu had been found.
However, Hatayspor manager Volkan Demirel told Turkish website Spor Arena there was 'no news' on either Atsu or sporting director Taner Savut, who were both reported missing on Monday.
More than 11,000 people have died in the Turkey-Syria earthquake, with the number rising every hour. Turkish second-division club Yeni Malatyaspor had earlier announced that their <a href="https://www.editorji.com/sports-news/football/turkey-earthquake-football-club-yeni-malatyaspor-confirm-goalkeeper-ahmet-eyup-turkaslan-s-death-1675852422961">goalkeeper Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan had died</a> as a result of the earthquake.
