Two days after Chandrayaan-3's Pragyan rover was put to 'sleep', ISRO on Sept 4 announced that Lander Vikram too has been set to sleep mode on the Lunar surface.
According to the Indian space agency, before slipping into sleep mode, in-situ experiments by ChaSTE, RAMBHA-LP and ILSA payloads were performed at the new location.
The data collected by payloads has been received at the Earth. The payloads have now been switched off.
Additionally, Vikram will fall asleep next to Pragyan once the solar power is depleted and the battery is drained, said the agency, adding both Pragyan and Vikram are expected to wake up around September 22, 2023.&nbsp;

Chandrayaan-3, which has covered about two-thirds of the distance to the Moon since its launch on July 14, will now be entering the lunar's orbit today, according to ISRO.
The Lunar Orbit Injection is set for around 7 pm today.
The space agency earlier said that the health of the spacecraft is normal and a soft landing on the lunar surface would be attempted on August 23.

After the succesful launch of Chandrayaan-3, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), is now getting ready to launch its pioneering mission to study the Sun, named Aditya L1. The Aditya Mission that was conceptualised in 2008, was postponed numerous times due to budget crunch.
However, the mission is all set to liftoff on August 26, 2023. ISRO has planned this project at a whopping Rs 378.53 crore excluding the launching costs. Initially in Fy17, the mission was planned as an experimental project with a small 400 kg low-Earth orbiting satellite to study the solar corona with a budget of Rs 3 crore. Now, the scope of the project is expanded &nbsp;to be a comprehensive solar and space environment observatory to be placed at the L1 point.

The L1 point of the Sun denotes Lagrange Point 1, one of two important points between Earth and Sun, which helps in uninterrupted observation of sun. The ISRO will be using Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle to deploy the Aditya L1 satellite. The mission is expected to take about 109 days after launch to reach the halo orbit around the L1 point.

Days after India launched its second moon mission, Chandrayaan-3 a mystery object spotted at a beach near Jurien Bay in Western Australia has left people baffled.&nbsp;
Several comments by Twitter users have sparked speculations that the huge object could be from the Chandrayaan-3 launch from India. Notably, Chandrayaan-3 lit up the Australian skies as the trajectory passed over the continent.
However, the Australian space agency has not yet confirmed any of the claims on Twitter users. The Indian agency too has not reacted to the buzz.&nbsp;

The mission is aimed at making a soft landing on the unexplored south pole of the Moon that would help India achieve a rare feat.

Scientists at the Indian Space Research Organisation successfully performed the second move around to push the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft's altitude at the closest point to Earth (perigee) in its current elliptical orbit on July 16, as per the Times of India.&nbsp;
Although, Sunday's manoeuvre was minor compared to the one carried out on July 15.&nbsp;
As per the Times of India report, the onboard thrusters were fired for about 42 seconds after which the perigee of Chandrayaan-3 is now around 220km.&nbsp;

Only three countries, the United States, China and Russia, have managed to land on the lunar surface so far.

Scientists at the Indian Space Research Organisation have performed the first orbit raising manoeuvre of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft on Saturday, the space agency said.
The health of the spacecraft was "normal", ISRO said in a social media post.
Chandrayaan-3 is now in an orbit, which when closest to Earth is at 173 km and farthest from Earth is at 41,762 km, the space agency said.
"Chandrayaan-3 Mission update: The spacecraft's health is normal. The first orbit raising manoeuvre (Earthbound firing-1) was successfully performed at ISTRAC/ISRO, Bengaluru. Spacecraft is now in 41762kms x 173kms orbit," ISRO said.

As Chandrayaan-3 took off on July 14 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, the camera deployed to capture the moment could only do it for a few seconds until ISRO's roaring rocket could not be viewed by either human eyes or lens from ground
But, a passenger aboard Indigo Flight 6E bound for Dhaka from Chennai got lucky and witnessed the launch of India's moon mission from the skies.&nbsp;
The passenger who was seated on the window seat captured the splendid and proud moment as the rocket ascended into the skies.

Soon after Chandrayaan-3 successfully separated from the LVM3-M4 rocket, ISRO Chairman S Somanath got on the podium and said "Congratulations India." Seated behind the ISRO Chairman was Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for the Department of Space and Department of Atomic Energy, along with a whole host of government representatives, visiting delegations and several other senior officials.
