&lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; from SS Rajamouli&rsquo;s magnum opus &lsquo;RRR&rsquo; has entered the Oscar race in the Best Original Song category. MM Keeravani, who has composed the energetic track, has reacted to the Academy Award nod. He said that the song is like his infant son, who has become big and is now going places to bag a good name for him.
Speaking with Deadline, Keeravani said, &lsquo;It feels great. My feelings about the Oscars is the best, because it involves the dreams of artists from all over the world; which is not a joke. It takes a great deal of effort and credibility. That&rsquo;s why the Oscars is the Oscars. That&rsquo;s why we respect and value it very much. And I&rsquo;m very proud to be nominated for the first time from [South] Asia in this music category. I&rsquo;m thrilled.&rsquo;
Describing the song as his son, <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/golden-globes-2023-ss-rajamouli-and-mm-keeravani-dance-to-naatu-naatu-after-a-historic-win-1673511177519">MM Keeravani</a> said, &lsquo;Yesterday, he was an infant in my cradle. And now my son is going places and bagging a good name for me. I&rsquo;m like a proud father. I&rsquo;m very grateful for this brainchild. And for all the people who made this big wave possible&rsquo;.
&lsquo;RRR&rsquo; lyricist Chandrabose also expressed his happiness as his music piece &lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; bagged an Oscar Nomination. Talking to news agency ANI, Chandrabose said, &lsquo;I will not let the success get to my head. Seeing the RRR casting list on the Oscar list feels very great and proud&rsquo;.
He further said, &lsquo;I never dreamt this much height in the wildest dreams. Thanks to Keeravani for giving songs and Rajamouli&rsquo;. Talking about the exposure, Indian cinema along with the Telegu industry is getting presently, Chandrabose said, &lsquo;Telugu songs and Indian cinema pieces are reaching out to the audience on a global level. And purely this song was a collective effort of the team. Today, genuinely I&rsquo;m on cloud nine. We all are very excited and are eagerly waiting for the Oscars to be held in March.&rsquo;
He added, &lsquo;Getting recognition on a global level is definitely huge. This honour brings up a lot of love across the nation and around the globe.&rsquo;
Two-time Academy Award-winning music composer AR Rahman also reacted to &lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; securing an Oscar nod. Speaking to the media in Mumbai, he said that he wants the &lsquo;RRR&rsquo; team to bring home the coveted award.

 RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ lyricist Chandrabose expressed gratitude after the win and told that it took him one sitting to write 90 per cent of it and then 19 months to write the rest of it. 

‘Naatu Naatu’ lyricist says ‘Wrote 90 percent of the song within half a day, rest 10 percent took 1.7 years’ 

The song‘s lyricist Chandrabose also said, ‘It’s a big deal for me. I thank SS Rajamouli and MM Keeravani for giving me the opportunity to write a song for RRR.'

&lsquo;RRR's popular song &lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; has brought India the prestigious Golden Globe Award and the entire nation is celebrating. Post the win, song &lsquo;s lyricist Chandrabose expressed gratitude and revealed that it took him one sitting to write 90 per cent of the song and then 19 months to write the rest of it.
Speaking with news agency ANI, he said, &lsquo;It&rsquo;s a big deal for me. I thank SS Rajamouli and MM Keeravani for giving me the opportunity to write a song for RRR. I wrote 90% of the song within half a day and rest 10% took 1.7 yrs. My effort, hard work and patience have paid off.&rsquo;
Earlier, Jr NTR had talked about the song and mentioned how tough it was to reach the level of perfection. He said, &lsquo;We shot it on the last leg of the film. We were tortured for 65 nights. We were beating each other, me and Ram Charan &mdash; we were killing each other and then it started with apologising &mdash; SS Rajamouli really wanted us to hate each other. Finally, by the 21st or 22nd night, we stopped apologising and said let&rsquo;s get it done. And that&rsquo;s when he brings his bazooka, called Naatu Naatu. We&rsquo;ve done complicated steps, but Naatu Naatu is not about the steps being complicated, it was the synchronisation, which Rajamouli stressed on.&rsquo;
He further added how SS Rajamouli &lsquo;tortured&rsquo; them during the song shoot and said, &lsquo;We shot that song for 12 days, and this man would torture us from 8-8, we would sleep at 11:30, and wake up at 5:30. This happened after 7 days of rehearsals. He was so hell-bent on synchronisation, watching on the monitor if the legs and hands went together, and I was like &lsquo;Jesus, why are you doing this?&rsquo;
