<p>"Housefull 5", featuring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar and Jacqueline Fernandez among others, has collected Rs 91.83 crore nett at the domestic box office on its first weekend, the makers announced on Monday.</p>
<p>Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala's production banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film has been directed by Tarun Mansukhani of "Dostana" fame.</p>
<p>Also featuring Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Soundarya Sharma, Jackie Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan and Sanjay Dutt, the film released in theatres on June 6. It is the fifth installment in the "Housefull" franchise.</p>
<p>Production banner shared the box office collection on its X handle with the day-wise breakdown.</p>
<p>"A weekend full of laughter, love&hellip; and Housefull screens! Thank you for making Day 3 so special. Our hearts are full because of you. #Housefull5 In Cinemas NOW! Book your tickets today," read the caption.</p>
<p>"Housefull 5" opened with Rs 24.35 crore nett and went on to earn Rs 32.38 crore nett on the following day. It collected Rs 35.10 crore nett on its third day.</p>
<p>The franchise began in 2010 with the first "Housefull" film, which went on to have good business at the box office. Following, the other installments released in 2012, 2016, and 2019, respectively.</p>

<p>According to a recent Sacnilk report, "Chhaava" secured an impressive Rs 6.25 crore on its 25th day in Indian cinemas across all languages.</p>
<p>This brings the film's cumulative domestic earnings to a staggering Rs 526.05 crore. Notably, it has outperformed the lifetime box office collection of Sunny Deol's 2023 blockbuster "Gadar 2," which grossed Rs 525.7 crore in India.</p>
<p>Upon joining the prestigious Rs 500 crore club, Vicky Kaushal took to Instagram to express his heartfelt thanks to fans. Sharing a poster from the film, he wrote, "What you all have given to #Chhaava goes much beyond numbers&hellip;you all have made this an emotion."</p>

<p>Varun Dhawan-starrer "Baby John" has raised Rs 11.25 crore in net box office collections on the first day of its release, the makers said on Thursday.</p>
<p>Directed by Kalees, the Hindi action film stars Dhawan in the dual roles of police inspector Satya Verma and John, his alter ego. It hit the screens on Wednesday.</p>
<p>"Baby John" is presented by Jio Studios in association with Atlee and Cine1 Studios and produced by A for Apple Studios and Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios.</p>
<p>"'Baby John', directed by Kalees, opened to an impressive INR 11.25 crore nett on Day 1 in India, marking it as the biggest opener for a non-franchise film post-pandemic," the makers said in a statement.</p>
