A bomb exploded near a market in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province, killing four people and injuring 20 others, according to a media report on Monday.
The blast occurred near Jabbar Market in Killa Abdullah district of Balochistan on Sunday, causing extensive damage to the building and triggering widespread panic.
Several shops collapsed, and fires erupted in multiple establishments following the explosion, The Express Tribune newspaper reported.
Killa Abdullah Deputy Commissioner Riaz Khan said four people were killed and 20 others injured in the explosion.
He said that the market was located adjacent to the rear wall of the Frontier Corps (FC) Fort. Following the explosion, a brief exchange of gunfire occurred between unidentified assailants and FC personnel.
Law enforcement officials sealed off the area and launched a comprehensive search and clearance operation.
The injured included a security guard of tribal elder Haji Faizullah Khan Ghabizai and several bystanders.
The blast came days after four Levies personnel lost their lives in a deadly gun attack by unidentified armed men on a check post in the Nal area of Khuzdar district.
Balochistan has been facing unrest for about two decades due to allegations by the local ethnic Baloch groups and parties that the federal government was exploiting the mineral wealth of the province.

The Dwarka court was evacuated Wednesday morning after it received a bomb threat, which later turned out to be a hoax, a police officer said.
According to police, the court's Chief Judicial Magistrate had received an email at 3.11 am on Tuesday about there being a bomb planted in the court's premises.
The court made a call to police at 10.50 am on Wednesday, the officer said, adding that it was declared a hoax after a thorough search of the premises.
The mailer threatened to blow up the courts if an investigation into the Rs 2,000 crore drug bust, in which a Tamil film producer was identified as the mastermind in 2024, is not stopped, a police source said.
The bomb threat led to judicial proceedings being halted and the emptying of courtrooms.
Advocate Anirudh Yadav, an eyewitness, said that around 11 am, the court received a bomb threat, following which the judges left and the court staff adjourned the listed matters.
"All entry and exit gates were sealed. The bomb-disposal squad conducted floor-by-floor checking of each courtroom," Yadav said.
Dog and bomb detection squads were rushed to the spot for a thorough check for the bomb, which wasn't there.
Police in a statement said the mailer said an RDX-based explosive device was planted in the court.
"Having received the security threat, local police, with senior officers along with Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), immediately reached the court premises," it said.

Indian Army's bomb disposal squad on Tuesday examined the live shell found a day earlier a few hundred metres from the helipad used by Punjab and Haryana chief ministers in Chandigarh. 

The bomb had been placed in a drum and covered with sandbags by the police on Monday.&nbsp;

A day after a live explosive was found a few hundred metres from the helipad used by Punjab and Haryana chief ministers in Chandigarh, the Indian Army's bomb disposal experts reached the spot on Tuesday morning.
The Army's experts and officers of the bomb disposal squad examined the live shell in protective gear inside a police cordon. A fire tender and an ambulance were stationed at the spot in the morning.
The area where the bomb was discovered lies in Chandigarh, close to the Chandigarh-Punjab border.
The bomb was found in a mango garden on the Nayagaon-Kansal T-point, which is about a kilometre away from the helipad and about two kilometres from the official residences of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his Haryana counterpart Manohar Lal Khattar.
The police questioned several people, including many scrap dealers in nearby areas, for clues on how the bomb could have reached the mango garden where it was found on Monday, sources said.

As soon as the police received information that a bomb-like object had been found in the high-security area, they reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
The local administration later informed the Army.
Sanjeev Kohli, nodal officer, disaster management, Chandigarh, had earlier said, "When we came and checked it we found that it was a live shell. We have secured the area." "It is a matter of investigation how this shell got here," he added.
"With the help of police and the bomb disposal squad team, the shell has been placed in a drum and covered with sandbags and the Army has been informed," he had said, adding, "Army officials will come and take care of it." The possibility of a scrap dealer dumping it here cannot be ruled out, he had said.
In the past, there have been cases of scrap dealers collecting used shells from the vicinity of military firing ranges.
Punjab Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) AK Pandey, who reached the spot on Monday, had said that it appeared to be a "misfired shell".
There are many scrap dealers in the area where the shell was found. It is being investigated if anyone could have discarded it here, he said.

At a flower market in east Delhi, a bomb was found in an abandoned bag. It was a 3kg crude bomb, comprised of a nitrate and RDX mix. The bomb could've been triggered by a clock or mobile phone, reports quoting police sources said.&nbsp; It was aimed at causing 'maximum damage', they said. The bag with the bomb is believed to have been left at the spot by a man riding a scooty around 9:30 in the morning on January 14. A flower seller contacted the police after noticing the abandoned bag and two-wheeler, as per reports. The market was then cordoned off as the bomb disposal squad used an 8-foot pit to carry out a controlled blast to get rid of the explosive device.

An improvised explosive device (IED) stuffed with RDX and ammonium nitrate was found inside an unattended bag at the Ghazipur flower market in Delhi on Friday morning but it was later defused, officials said.
The explosive was kept in an iron box and concealed in the black coloured backpack.
The incident comes ahead of Republic Day celebrations on January 26 for which the security apparatus in the national capital is already on high alert.
"The explosive prima facie looks to be a mix of RDX and ammonium nitrate. It was about 3 kgs in weight and there were some sharpnel embedded," NSG director general M A Ganapathy told PTI.
Another National Security Guard (NSG) officer said they were alerted by the Delhi Police about the suspicious object around 11 am and soon after a team of its bomb detection and disposal experts and a heavy metal container called total containment vessel tugged to a truck reached the market, located close to Delhi's border with Uttar Pradesh.&nbsp; Fire officials said they received the information of the suspicious unattended bag at 10.19 am.&nbsp; Officials from the special cell of Delhi Police and fire department also reached the spot.
"The IED was destroyed around 1:30 pm by using a controlled explosion technique after it was lowered into a deep pit located in the area.&nbsp; "The samples of the IED have been collected and a detail report will be sent to the Delhi Police," the NSG officer said.
A bomb suit wearing NSG personnel was also seen at the site apart from officials from the special cell and regular Delhi Police units.
According to preliminary investigation, the bomb was placed at the main gate of the flower market.&nbsp; "It is suspected that the alleged person did the recee before planting the bomb and we suspect there was a timer placed inside the bomb. The investigation is still underway to ascertain who and how was the bomber placed," a senior police official said.

Miffed with the film's title, a Twitter user alleged that title 'Laxmmi&nbsp;Bomb' is derogatory as it insults Goddess Lakshmi.
While another user feelt that the film has been a stereotypical representation of the transgender community.
If that wasn't enough a user even accused the film of promoting love jihad as Akshay's&nbsp;name in the film is reportedly Asif&nbsp;while Kiara's name is Priya.
