In 2012 Mumbai Police held over a 100 people, which included several celebrities and cricketers, after raiding a rave party at a hotel. Over 80 tested positive for drugs, including cricketer Rahul Sharma and TV actress Shilpa Agnihotri.

The deal is particularly important for an industry, whose biggest market is Maharashtra. Though some states have started allowing movie halls to resume screenings, theatres are still shut in&nbsp;Maharashtra, which accounts&nbsp;for roughly 30% to 50% of a mainstream Hindi film's theatrical earnings.
Producers are hoping that theatres will re-open in Maharashtra&nbsp;in time for Diwali, with most of India's adult population vaccinated. But threats of a third Covid&nbsp;wave is still looming large.

Sushant Singh Rajput | 1986-2020 Actor Sushant Singh Rajput&lsquo;s sudden death in June 2020 became fodder for immense speculation. Among the finest and most popular actors of his generation in Bollywood, Sushant reportedly committed suicide in his apartment at the age of 34. The mysterious circumstances of his death led to an outrage from fans and co-stars and three central probe agencies - the CBI, the NCB and the ED got involved in the investigation.&nbsp;Following Sushant's death, twists and turns in the case and a drugs angle, brought the limelight back on nepotism in Bollywood. The death of Sushant Singh Rajput created a political storm between the Maharashtra govt and the Bihar govt, after which the Centre intervened and the Supreme Court directed the CBI to carry out the probe. An FIR was filed against Sushant&rsquo;s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant's family accused her of abetment of suicide and siphoning off Rs 15 crore from the late actor's account.
