Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday called for an all-party meeting in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday in the wake of a blast at a convention centre at Kalamassery in Kochi.
One woman died and over 36 others were injured in the explosion at the convention centre this morning during a gathering of the Jehovah's Witnesses -- a Christian religious group that originated in the US in the 19th century.

Back-to-back blasts in Narwal on the outskirts of Jammu City had left nine people injured on Saturday.
Police suspect that improvised explosive devices were used to carry out the twin explosions in an SUV parked in a repair shop and in a vehicle at a nearby junkyard at the Transport Nagar area.
The explosions occurred at a time when security agencies in the region are on high alert for the Congress' ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra and the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.
The National Investigation Agency team visited the site of the blasts in the morning and the federal anti-terror agency is likely to take over the case for a thorough probe, the officials said.

Seven people were injured in two explosions within a span of 15 minutes on Saturday, sources said.
The additional director general of police (Jammu zone) confirmed the explosions and injuries to six people.
Hospital sources, however, said seven people were admitted with splinter injuries and all of them are "stable".
The blasts in the transport yard of Narwal were triggered by suspected terrorists at a time when security agencies in the region are on high alert amid the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra of the Congress and the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.
The first blast occurred around 10.45 am, followed by another explosion, an official said, adding that the whole area was cordoned off and a search operation underway.
Jaswinder Singh, an eyewitness, said the first blast occurred in a vehicle that was sent to a workshop for repairs.
Fifteen minutes later, another explosion nearby littered the area with damaged parts and garbage, said Singh, chief of the Motor Spare Parts Association.
Five people were injured in the first blast and two more in the second, he added.&nbsp;

Although no terror outfit claimed responsibility for the serial blasts, the involvement of SIMI and its new avatar, the Indian Mujahideen, have been suspected.

India on Monday rejected Pakistan&rsquo;s claim that an Indian citizen was behind a powerful bomb blast outside the house of the 2008 Mumbai terror attack mastermind and chief of the banned Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) Hafiz Saeed in Lahore last month.
According to a report by News18, government sources said that charges of Indian involvement in Johar town blast 'are baseless and motivated'. They held that &lsquo;before maligning any government agency, Pakistan should collect hard evidence&rsquo;
They went on to add that Pakistan is giving shelter to all Jihadi groups including the Taliban and cited the Pakistani interior minister and ISI chief had spoken about &nbsp;harbouring millions of Talibanis in Pakistan.

These include terrorists involved in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, the 26/11 Mumbai attack, the 2019 Pulwama bombing, the 2016 Pathankot IAF base attack, the 1999 IC-814 Indian Airlines hijacking and other terror attacks in the country. Among those declared as &lsquo;individual terrorists&rsquo;, under the amended UAPA are Pakistan spy agency ISI asset Sajid Mir, who monitored the 26/11 Mumbai attacks from a control room in Karachi; Hizbul chief Syed Salahuddin, Lashkar chief Hafiz Saeed&rsquo;s brother-in-law Abdur Rehman Makki, Jaish chief Maulana Masood Azhar&rsquo;s brother Abdul Rauf Asghar, founder of terror outfit Indian Mujahideen Riyaz Bhatkal and a few associates of Dawood Ibrahim, the report said.
