In addition to this, a 16% uptick was also recorded in their combined net worth in 2023 at $858.3 billion. In 2022, the combined net worth of the promoter's billionaires was around $739 billion. 
Shifting Wealth Dynamics: Ambani-Adani's Contributions
In 2023, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, India's top two wealthiest individuals representing Reliance Industries and Adani Group respectively, contributed to 25.5% of the total net worth of all billionaire promoters. This figure marks a decrease from their combined share of 34.8% in 2022, as reported by the English daily.
Individual Wealth Fluctuations: Key Figures
Mukesh Ambani's wealth &nbsp;climbed by 4.7% to $112.5 billion in 2023, while Gautam Adani experienced a decline of 28.7%, landing at $106.63 billion from $149.5 billion in 2022.
Shiv Nadar's Rise and Other Notable Figures 
In 2023, HCL Tech's Shiv Nadar outpaced Radhakishan Damani of Avenue Supermarts, securing the position of India's third wealthiest person. Nadar's net worth surged to $29.3 billion, marking a significant 34.9% increase from $21.75 billion in 2022, while Damani's net worth declined to $24 billion in 2023.
Azim Premji of Wipro emerged as the fifth wealthiest Indian, boasting a net worth of $21.8 billion last year, representing a 9.1% rise from his 2022 net worth.

The Jindal family witnessed a substantial increase of 55.4% in their net worth in 2023, mainly due to the listing of JSW Infrastructure on October 3, 2023. This development added approximately $4.5 billion to the family's overall net worth for the year.

The media campaign Facts for Peace is seeking million-dollar donations from the media, finance and technology giants, as per an email seen by news website Semafor.&nbsp;
As per the report, more than 50 influential people like former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Dell CEO Michael Dell and financier Michael Milken are being courted for this drive.
American billionaire Barry Sternlicht, the person who began this effort, mentioned that the campaign aims to assist Israel in "taking control of the narrative&rdquo; amidst global reactions to the intense Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
In the email, Sternlicht wrote, &ldquo;Public opinion will surely shift as scenes, real or fabricated by Hamas, of civilian Palestinian suffering will surely erode [Israel&rsquo;s] current empathy in the world community.&rdquo;
It was further mentioned in the email, &ldquo;We must get ahead of the narrative.&rdquo;
Not only this, Sterlicht&rsquo;s media drive is aiming to declare Hamas as a terrorist organisation and they are also seeking $50m in private donations, paired with a matching contribution from a Jewish charity.&nbsp;

As per the 2023 affidavit submitted to the Election Commission, Shivakumar has a total of Rs 273 crore immovable assets. The total liabilities of DKS is Rs 265 crore. Karnataka has the 3 richest MLAs in the country. Meanwhile, a BJP MLA from West Bengal has the lowest assets worth Rs 1,700 in the country.

Independent MLA KH Puttaswamy Gowda is the second richest with assets worth Rs 1,267 crore, followed by Congress MLA Priyakrishna Govindarajanagar with total assets worth Rs 1,156 crore.
The report analyzed 4001 sitting MLAs from 28 state assemblies and two Union Territories in India. Out of the 4001 MLAs 2% which is 88 are billionaires.
<h2>Average asset worth</h2>
Karnataka has the highest average assets per MLA with average asset of Rs 64.39 crore. This is followed by Andhra Pradesh with average assets of Rs 28.24 crore and Maharashtra with average assets of Rs 23.51 crore.
Meanwhile, Tripura has the lowest average assets per MLA with average asset of Rs 1.54 crore, followed by West Bengal with average assets of Rs 2.80 crore and Kerala with average assets of Rs 3.15 crore.

Karnataka has the highest percentage of billionaire MLAs. Out of the 223 MLAs, 32 which is 14% are billionaires. This is followed by Arunachal Pradesh where 7% of the MLAs are billionaires. Billionaire MLAs in Andhra Pradesh account to 6%, 4% in Maharashtra, 3% in Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

"The company has been unable to contact Mr Bao," China Renaissance said in an announcement on Thursday to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, without offering further details.
Shares in the firm slumped as much as 50 percent at one point following the statement before clawing back to sit around 30 percent down.
According to financial news outlet Caixin the 52-year-old dealmaker had been unreachable for two days as of Thursday evening.
China Renaissance was not immediately available for comment after being contacted by AFP.
Bao's disappearance is now raising concerns over a possible renewed crackdown on China's finance industry as President Xi Jinping persists in his long-standing crusade against corruption.
Willer Chen, senior analyst at Forsyth Barr Asia, told Bloomberg that the executive's continued absence "could be a long-term overhang on the stock, given Bao is the key man for the company".
Wang Wenbin, spokesman for China's foreign ministry said he was "not aware of the relevant information" when asked about Bao's disappearance.
"But I can tell you that China is a country under the rule of law," he said.
"The Chinese government protects the legitimate rights of its citizens in accordance with the law."
China Renaissance has developed into a global financial institution, with more than 700 employees and offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and New York.
Founded in 2005, the group has supervised the IPOs of several domestic internet giants, including leading e-commerce firm JD.com.
Bao also facilitated a blockbuster 2015 merger between major ride-hailing firm Didi and its top competitor at the time, Kuaidi Dache.
The case of China Renaissance is reminiscent of a pattern of investigations into top financiers from the country in recent years.
In 2017, Chinese-Canadian businessman Xiao Jianhua was arrested by mainland authorities and received a 13-year jail sentence under corruption charges last August.
Known to hold close ties to top Chinese Communist Party leaders, the billionaire was reportedly abducted from his Hong Kong hotel room by plainclothes police officers from Beijing.
At the time of his arrest, Xiao was one of the richest men in China, with an estimated fortune of $6 billion.
According to Caixin, China Renaissance president Cong Lin was taken into custody last September as authorities launched a probe into his work at the financial leasing unit of state-owned bank ICBC.

A shocking report by Oxfam&nbsp;showed that a billionaire was created every 30 hours during the last 2 years and a million people fell into poverty at the same rate during the pandemic.&nbsp; Presenting the report as the world's elite gathered at Davos, Oxfam&nbsp;showcased 2,668 billionaires -- 573 more than in 2020 -- own $12.7 trillion, an increase of $3.78 tn.

Oxfam also called for the introduction of permanent wealth taxes to &ldquo;rein in extreme wealth and monopoly power&rdquo;. The report urged governments should follow Argentina&rsquo;s example and introduce a &ldquo;one-off solidarity tax on billionaires&rsquo; pandemic windfalls&rdquo;. The Argentinian tax raised 223bn pesos ($1.8 bn) last year.
