Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Rajiv Bajaj said that he stands by his projection of 20,000 rupees as the long-term target price for Bajaj Auto shares.
Remember, the stock has seen a sharp correction after hitting a lifetime high of 12,774 rupees in September last week.

Yulu, an electric mobility startup, has successfully secured $19.25 million in equity funding from its existing investors, Magna and Bajaj Auto. The injection of additional capital aims to fuel Yulu's ongoing growth momentum and reinforce its position as a market leader in the realm of electric vehicle services. The company intends to utilize these funds to bolster its fleet, expand operational footprints, and drive innovations in products and technology to meet the escalating demand from consumers.
Amit Gupta, Co-founder &amp; CEO of Yulu, expressed his optimism about leveraging this equity infusion to expedite the company's growth strategies. Gupta highlighted the surge in demand witnessed by Yulu, particularly in its shared EV services, which have played a transformative role in urban delivery scenarios, promoting eco-friendly practices while empowering livelihoods through pioneering features and technology-driven operations.
Looking ahead, Yulu is eyeing its Series C funding round slated for this year, with a focus on fortifying the mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) segment. Gupta emphasized the company's commitment to enhancing existing business verticals and exploring new use cases and geographic markets.
Bajaj Auto, one of Yulu's key investors, disclosed in a regulatory filing its increased stake in the company to 18.8% of the paid-up share capital, following an additional investment of ₹45.75 crore.
Currently operating 30,000 EVs across major cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram, Yulu faces competition from peers such as Zypp Electric and Vogo in the e-bike market. The company has gained traction through strategic partnerships with prominent players in the delivery and e-commerce sectors, including Swiggy, Zomato, and Zepto.
With aspirations to go public by 2026, Yulu is focused on enhancing its revenue streams and aims to achieve profitability targets by the first half of this year. Despite registering a 44% increase in revenue to ₹42 crore in FY23, the company also reported widened losses amounting to ₹95 crore during the same period.
As per IMARC's market research, India's e-bike market is on a robust growth trajectory, expected to surpass $2,917 million by 2032, driven by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.6% from 2024 to 2032. Bajaj Auto Share Buyback: Bajaj Auto, the renowned manufacturer of two-wheelers and three-wheelers, has set the wheels in motion for a significant ₹4,000 crore share buyback plan. This buyback amounts to 1.41% of the total equity shares of the company and is priced at ₹10,000 per share payable in cash.

The announcement via a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sent positive ripples across the stock market. The proposed buyback price, standing at a robust 43.14% premium over the current share price of ₹6,985.70, has attracted attention from various stakeholders.
According to Abhilash Pagaria, Head of Nuvama Alternative &amp; Quantitative Research, the initial estimates indicate an institutional acceptance of around 1.3% with potential yields of 55-60 basis points at the current market price. The projected acceptance ranges between 4% to 10% for retail investors, providing an avenue for their participation.
However, Pagaria also notes that if promoters choose not to participate (which seems unlikely), institutional acceptance might rise to 3% while retail acceptance remains steady. The specific dates for the buyback are yet to be announced, but Nuvama Alternative Research forecasts completion within the next 3-3.5 months.
Retail investors must grasp that this buyback represents 16.33% of the total paid-up equity share capital and 14.49% of free reserves, per the audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023.
Notably, Bajaj Auto's board has established a Buyback Committee, empowering it to undertake all necessary actions related to the buyback. However, it's crucial to remember that the buyback's finalization is contingent on shareholder approval through a special resolution via a postal ballot.
The company has assured the release of a public announcement and a detailed letter of offer outlining the process, timelines, and other pertinent details aligned with the Buyback Regulations. Additionally, Bajaj Auto has the prerogative, until one working day before the record date, to modify the buyback price or the number of equity shares to be repurchased, ensuring no alterations in the buyback size. Analysts at BOB Capital Markets express confidence in Bajaj Finance, highlighting its strong AUM growth, diverse business model, and adept leadership to navigate risks in newer ventures like microfinance.

Hero MotoCorp, India's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters reported a drop of 40% in sales for the month of November. In a statement released to the exchanges Hero Moto said it sold 3.49 lakh vehicles vs 5.91 lakh vehicles in the same month last year. According to the company, delay in harvesting due to the late withdrawal of monsoon in many parts of the country, impacted the demand after the festive season. But the management remains optimistic stating "With the economy gradually opening up coupled with several other positive indicators, such as encouraging farm activity, confident consumer index and marriage season, a swift revival in sales is expected in the fourth quarter." It is not just Hero that has hit a speed bump in sales, competitor Bajaj also reported a fall in sales for November, though a smaller one with a 10% drop. While south based TVS Motor reported a 29% drop in it's 2 wheeler sales as well.

One of the longest-serving chairmen in corporate India,&nbsp;Rahul Bajaj&nbsp;stepped down from the role after almost 50 years.
From launching&nbsp;Chetak and Super to the ever famous 'Hamara&nbsp;Bajaj' campaign Rahul&nbsp;Bajaj&nbsp;is revered as an astute businessman.&nbsp; He created immense value for shareholders when in 2008&nbsp; he ensured a smooth transfer of his power to his sons as he split the company into three units &mdash; Bajaj Auto, finance company Bajaj Finserv and a holding company. While Rajiv Bajaj manages the auto business, the finance company is under younger brother Sanjiv.
In 2019 Rahul&nbsp;Bajaj&nbsp;grabbed headlines as he questioned the govt, stating that corporates&nbsp;were afraid of the Modi&nbsp;govt. Even at 82&nbsp;Rahul&nbsp;Bajaj will be a tough act to follow for his cousin Niraj Bajaj&nbsp;who takes over as chairman of Bajaj&nbsp;Auto from May 1.

Husqvarna 401 Twins Launch Details Revealed

Bajaj Auto will launch the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and the Vitpilen 401 in India in 2020, possibly during the festive season. The motorcycles will be launched in India nearly a year after the Husqvarna revealed the 250 cc models of the Svartpilen and Vitpilen at the 2019 India Bike Week. The 401 twins are based on the KTM 390 Duke and going in line with how the 250 cc huskies were priced, the new motorcycles could undercut the KTM offerings in terms of pricing. Both bikes stand out for their quirky styling, which will make them a unique proposition in the segment.
