BAFTA is set to take place on February 19 at London&rsquo;s Royal Festive Hall. The star-studded event promises impressive performances.

Actor Deepika Padukone has joined footballer David Beckham, actor Cate Blanchett, and singer Dua Lipa as one of the presenters at the upcoming BAFTA Awards which will be held on February 19.
Variety reports the trio will present individual awards, yet their assigned categories remain undisclosed. Past presenters include Hugh Grant, Lily Collins, Adjoa Andoh, Emma Corrin, Gillian Anderson, Himesh Patel, and Idris Elba.
The star-studded event promises impressive performances, including a special cover song by Hannah Waddingham and Sophie Ellis-Bextor singing her hit &lsquo;Murder on The Dancefloor.&rsquo; Former Rising Star Award winners Emma Mackey and Jack O&rsquo;Connell will present the award.
Deepika Padukone, who previously presented at the 2023 Oscars, reflects the rising global prominence of Indian stars, amplified by SS Rajamouli's &lsquo;RRR&rsquo; winning an Oscar for &lsquo;Naatu Naatu&rsquo; in 2023.
Historical drama &lsquo;Oppenheimer&rsquo; leads with 13 BAFTA nominations, followed by Gothic comedy &lsquo;Poor Things&rsquo; and Martin Scorsese&rsquo;s &lsquo;Killers of the Flower Moon&rsquo;, both with nine nods each. The awards ceremony is set for February 19 at London&rsquo;s Royal Festive Hall.

Deepika Padukone is a highly acclaimed Indian actress and producer. She made her acting debut in the 2006 Kannada film &lsquo;Aishwarya&rsquo; and later gained widespread recognition with her Bollywood debut in &lsquo;Om Shanti Om&rsquo; (2007), opposite Shah Rukh Khan, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
Throughout her career, Deepika has delivered numerous successful films, including &lsquo;Chennai Express&rsquo; (2013), &lsquo;Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela&rsquo; (2013), &lsquo;Piku&rsquo; (2015), &lsquo;Bajirao Mastani&rsquo; (2015), and &lsquo;Padmaavat&rsquo; (2018). She has received several awards, including three Filmfare Awards.
Apart from acting, she is also involved in various philanthropic endeavors and is a prominent celebrity endorser for several brands. Deepika Padukone's influence extends beyond the film industry, as she is also recognized for her fashion sense and advocacy for mental health awareness.

SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' and Shaunak Sen's documentary 'All That Breathes' are the only Indian films to make it to the longlist at the BAFTAs

The &nbsp;British Academy Film Awards or BAFTAs has released their longlist of nomination in 24 categories, with the 'The Banshees of Inisherin' and German film 'All Quiet on the Western Front' being named in 14 and 15 longlists respectively.
SS Rajamouli's magnum opus 'RRR' has been chosen for 'Film Not in the English Language' category, it's lone BAFTA nomination. Apart from this Shaunak Sen's 'All That Breathes' has been nominated in the 'Best Documentary' category.&nbsp;
These were the only two Indian films that got a nod from the BAFTA jury as Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' fell out of the race without any nomination.&nbsp;
The final nominations for BAFTA 2023 will be announced on January 19 and the award ceremony will take place on February 19.
The BAFTAs along with Golden Globe and The Oscars are considered as some of the most precious movie awards in the world and the British awards are seen as a precursor to the Oscar nominations which will be announced on January 24.
