Ayushmann Khurrana's 'An Action Hero' has failed to attract the audience. On Day 5, the movie did its lowest collection.

Ayushmann Khurrana&rsquo;s &lsquo;An Action Hero&rsquo; released on December 2 and it seems like the actor&rsquo;s first full actioner has failed to attract the audience with its charm. The film barely saw any audience even on it&rsquo;s day 5.
According to Economic Times, &lsquo;An Action Hero&rsquo; did a business of Rs 30-40 lakh on its fifth day. Reports say that the movie will barely make Rs 20 crore in its lifetime.
Reportedly, the film&rsquo;s collection for the first three days of its release was Rs 1.31 crore, Rs 2.16 crore, and Rs 2.52 crore, respectively. A tough competition from Ajay Devgan&rsquo;s &lsquo;Drishyam 2 and &lsquo;Varun Dhawan&rsquo;s &lsquo;Bhediya&rsquo; has been seen as a reason for the bad performance of the movie.
&lsquo;An Action Hero&rsquo; also stars Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead role. Ayushmann plays Maanav in the movie, who accidentally kills a politically connected fan.

&lsquo;An Action Hero&rsquo;, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat, was released in theatres on December 2 and the film has opened quite low on the ticket windows despite positive reviews.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the Anirudh Iyer directorial earned ₹ 5.99 cr in its opening weekend. The film is facing tough competition from &lsquo;Drishyam 2&rsquo; which was released on November 18, and Varun Dhawan&rsquo;s &lsquo;Bhediya&rsquo; which hit the theatres on November 25.
On Monday, the film&rsquo;s makers and lead actor Ayushmann took to social media and shared a statement talking about how the film has received &lsquo;positivity and strong word of mouth&rsquo; and they are hoping that it &lsquo;snowballs into more and more people coming into theatres&rsquo;.

Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen next in the sequel of his 2019 comedy &lsquo;Dream Girl&rsquo;. The film, which also stars Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Manoj Joshi, and Vijay Raaz, is set to be released in theatres on June 23, 2023.

Composer Tanishk Bagchi and music company T series have been facing a lot of criticism online for &lsquo;recreating&rsquo; and &lsquo;ruining&rsquo; another hit song, &lsquo;Jedha Nasha&rsquo;. However, Tanishk believes that these recreations help the &lsquo;original singers in getting noticed&rsquo;.
Tanishk&rsquo;s latest track, &lsquo;Jehda Nasha&rsquo; from &lsquo;An Action Hero&rsquo;, was released on November 17. He has recreated many popular songs including &lsquo;Thank God&rsquo;s &lsquo;Manike&rsquo;, &lsquo;Jugjugg Jeeyo&rsquo;s &lsquo;Nach Punjaabban&rsquo;, &lsquo;Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2&rsquo;s title track, &lsquo;Sooryavanshi&rsquo;s &lsquo;Tip Tip Barsa Pani&rsquo;, among many others.
Speaking with Hindustan Times, the composer said that the audience does not &lsquo;even know the name of the original singers - Amar Jalal and IP Singh. He said they only know his name because he has recreated the song.
He added that this step of recreating the song and picturising it on Ayushmann Khurrana and Nora Fatehi will help the original singers in getting noticed. He said they are just becoming a window for these people to come out in the mainstream
He also mentioned that the original singers loved the recreation and they thanked him for putting the song in the film. Tansihk said that he ensures that when he is recreating a song, the original singers &lsquo;get the credit and royalty.&rsquo;
&lsquo;An Action Hero&rsquo; releases in theatres on December 2.
