‘G2’ will be Emraan’s second Telugu film after ‘OG’. The actor recently shared his experience of working in the south film industry with Times of India and said, “I think south filmmakers are way more disciplined than we are."

Fans of Emraan Hashmi will soon be able to see the actor on big screens as he has a bumper project in the pipeline. Confirming the News on X, Adivi Sesh announced that Emraan Hashmi has joined the case of G2. &nbsp;

An excited Adivi Sesh took to X and wrote, &ldquo;Welcoming the brilliant @emraanhashmi into the #G2 Universe. Can&rsquo;t wait to work with you sir. It&rsquo;s going to be.&rdquo; In a separate press note, he said, &ldquo;I am thrilled to have Emraan Hashmi on board for G2. His presence will undoubtedly bring a new dimension to the film.&rdquo;&nbsp;

Responding to the Adivi Sesh&rsquo;s post on X, Emraan Hashmi played humble and asked the actor not to call him sir. He wrote, &ldquo;@AdivisSesh glad to be onboard. Can&rsquo;t wait!! And pls no formalities with calling me.. Sir. Plain ol Emraan will do!! C u soon.&rdquo; Confirming his role in &lsquo;G2&rsquo;, the actor said that the filming is in progress. Praising the script, the actor said, &ldquo;Joining the cast of &lsquo;G2&rsquo; is truly exciting. The script is compelling, and I look forward to being part of this spy thriller.&rdquo;&nbsp;

About Adivi Sesh&rsquo;s &lsquo;G2&rsquo; 
The film is a sequel of the 2018 Sashi Kiran Tikka directorial Goodachari and stars Adivi Sesh and Banita Sandhu in the lead roles. Emraan Hashmi is the latest addition to the cast of this spy thriller. While Adivi will be seen once again in the role of &lsquo;Gopi&rsquo; aka &lsquo;Agent 116&rsquo;, not much has been revealed about Banita and Emraan&rsquo;s characters.

Adivi Sesh opens up on why he started co-writing his own films.

Actor Adivi Sesh, who received a lot of praise for his biopic on Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, opened up about why he started co-writing his own films. In a recent interaction, he revealed that there is no auditioning culture in the Telugu film industry as most of the significant parts are already taken by people who come from film families.
In an interaction with Bollywood Hungama, Adivi said auditioning was limited to the role of &lsquo;hero&rsquo;s fourth friend or other similar roles&rsquo; and to have control over this process, he ended up writing his own thing. He added that someone like him was &lsquo;choice number 53&rsquo; for a good script.
&lsquo;Usually, it&rsquo;s booked&hellip; You&rsquo;re mostly auditioning for the hero&rsquo;s fourth friend or other similar roles. I wanted to have some control over this process. You end up writing your own thing in part because I wanted to control this process. Not that I know any better but I know at least if I fall, I&rsquo;ll know why I am falling,&rsquo; he said.
&lsquo;Four out of my last six films were co-written by me, in collaboration with the director. When you come from outside, people don&rsquo;t offer you. You&rsquo;re not being considered. I was tired of it. Upar se wahan par ek-ek family mein dus-dus hero hote hain. (There, each film family has ten heroes).
So, for a good script to come by you, you are like choice number 53. And there are only 20 good scripts so it became only easier to start writing,&rsquo; he added.
Adivi Sesh&rsquo;s last release Telugu serial killer thriller &lsquo;HIT 2&rsquo; turned out to be a box-office hit.
