Speaking on the special occasion in an interview, Vikrant Massey said, &ldquo;There's a lot more to do and many stories that I want to tell. There are so many more movies that Vinod sir and I want to make together. So it's just the beginning." Expressing his gratitude towards his director, he further added, &ldquo;I'm really glad that I got this opportunity to play Manoj. If I have to thank someone besides the audience, then it has to be Vinod sir. He really entrusted me with this role. He's given me my own restart moment."&nbsp;
The actor also opened up about what has changed for him post the success of &lsquo;12th Fail&rsquo;. &ldquo;The only thing that has changed is the number of people knowing me now, their reception towards me has been the same. Even when I was doing TV, people respected me for the work I did and they continue to do that. The hugs and pats are warmer, but it remains the same,&rdquo; he said. &nbsp; &nbsp; Mounted on a reported budget of Rs 20 crore, &lsquo;12th Fail&rsquo; and its success has come as a surprise to trade analysts, especially at a time when spectacle cinema seems to be the flavour of the season. The biopic film was based on the journey of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra has expressed his excitement as his critically acclaimed film '12th Fail' gears up to release in China. In a conversation with Variety, Chopra said that as a filmmaker, he believes that storytelling transcends borders. He added that the film's China release is just not about reaching a new audience but about sharing universal human experiences that resonate regardless of geography.
He emphasised, "12th Fail&rsquo; is based on a story of honest people, and I am sure that people everywhere will relate to the struggles and perseverance of the characters. I'm excited to see how Chinese audiences connect with it."
Speaking about how he has his faith in the film, the director added, &ldquo;I was invited to Macau by Marco Mueller for the Asia-Europe Young Cinema film festival. We had a standing ovation in China. And for me that was very gratifying. There were Hindi dialogues, and I of course couldn&rsquo;t read the subtitles in Chinese. But the way people were clapping, the audience&rsquo;s reaction was incredible. I have no doubt that this film will do very well.&rdquo; &nbsp;
