Scientists taught pigs how to play video games & they're apparently good at it!

A group of researchers have taught pigs how to play joystick-operated video games with their snouts, claiming that the animals maybe more intelligent than we think.

Researchers, including those from Purdue University tested the ability of four pigs to use a joystick and control the cursor on a monitor in return for treats.

Scientists noticed that when the food rewards finished, the pigs continued playing, signifying need for social contact.

With the experiments, they concluded that the animals had an intelligent understanding of the task at hand and this feeds into cognitive abilities of pigs. The study, however, was not able to showcase equally good playing skills of primates.
