Monsoon session: 25 MPs tested positive for Covid-19

At least 25 members of the Parliament from many parties tested positive before the beginning of the Monsoon Session.

Reports said 17 lawmakers from the Lok Sabha and 8 MPs from the Rajya Sabha have tested positive.

The government has made it mandatory for the lawmakers to test negative for the deadly coronavirus to attend the session. 4000 people including the MPs were tested before the 18-day session began on Monday.

According to the report, 12 of the total infected Lok Sabha MPs are from the Bharatiya Janata Party, whereas 2 are from YSR Congress and one each are from the Shiv Sena, DMK and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party.
