Drinking coffee every day could lower risk of heart disease, study says

Drinking coffee every day could lower risk of heart disease, study says

Drinking one or more cups of coffee a day could lower your risk of heart disease, according to a new study published in the journal Circulation: Heart Failure.

Compared to those people who did not drink coffee, coffee lovers were found to have a decreased risk of heart failure between 5 and 12% for each cup they drank.

The study however stated that the same does not apply to decaffeinated coffee.

The new finding does not mean that coffee is the healthiest alternative when it comes to protecting the heart. It cannot compensate for exercising, reducing weight and stopping smoking.
