Rohit Sharma's priceless reaction to Virat's century goes viral

In an exhilarating display of cricket, India emerged victorious against Pakistan with a commanding 6-wicket win at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The spotlight was undoubtedly stolen by Virat Kohli, who anchored India's successful chase, crafting a remarkable century that underscored his mastery in high-pressure scenarios.

Kohli's remarkable innings not only solidified India's triumph but also sparked a memorable moment with his teammate, Rohit Sharma. As Kohli returned to the pavilion post his stunning knock, Rohit greeted him with a warm embrace.

Earlier, as Kohli neared his century, an animated Rohit was captured on camera enthusiastically gesturing for Kohli to finish the job with a six, showcasing the camaraderie and excitement within the team.

India's Record-Breaking Performance

The match against Pakistan saw Team India shatter multiple records, further emphasizing their dominance:

1. Virat Kohli's milestones: Kohli surpassed Mohammad Azharuddin, becoming India's leading fielder with the most catches in ODI cricket—an impressive tally of 157. Furthermore, Kohli reached a monumental 14,000 ODI runs, breaking Sachin Tendulkar's long-standing record, and becoming only the third player worldwide to achieve such a feat.

2. Rohit Sharma's record as an opener: Rohit Sharma continued to etch his name into the record books by becoming the fastest ODI opener to reach 9,000 runs. He accomplished this milestone in a mere 181 innings, surpassing Tendulkar’s previous record of 197 innings.

3. Kuldeep Yadav's 300 international wickets: The left-arm wrist spinner added another feather to his cap by reaching 300 international wickets. Yadav's achievement makes him the fifth Indian spinner to reach this milestone.

4. Hardik Pandya’s 200th international wicket: Hardik Pandya attained his 200th international wicket with a noteworthy performance against Pakistan. Claiming crucial wickets, Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel, Pandya recorded figures of 2/31 in his eight-over spell.

The win against Pakistan not only adds another chapter to India’s storied cricket rivalry but also sets the team on a promising path in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. With individual milestones complementing a collective team effort, India has once again asserted its prowess on the international stage.
