Asian Games 2023 Medals Tally: China sit on top with 30 medals as India take the 7th spot

India has made a great start on the first day of the Asian Games being held in China as the Indian players finished with 5 medals on the very first day.

The trio of Mehuli Ghosh, Aashi Choksi and Ramita won India's first medal. After this the country got 3 medals in rowing.

India's two-time world champion boxer Nikhat Zareen has made her place in the pre-quarterfinals as well.

After the end of the first day of events on Sunday, India has come to seventh place in the medal tally with five medals.

Whereas host China is on top by winning an impressive 30 medals including 20 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze.

China are followed by Republic of Korea and Japan with 14 medals each and Hong Kong taking the 4th spot 7 medals.
