If there has been one anticipated moment ahead of the IPL 2024, it has to be the eventual meeting of sacked Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma and his replacement Hardik Pandya.

And now, with players assembled with their respective franchises, fans were treated to a video by Mumbai, where Hardik and Rohit shared a hug during a training session on Wednesday.

The clip has since gone viral with several terming the moment 'beautiful'.

It also shows the two chatting later on.

Amid chatter of awkwardness between the two players, Pandya has said that he expects the senior batter to continue to be a guiding force for him during the IPL.

Pandya moved back to Mumbai Indians after two years with Gujarat Titans, including a title win on debut in 2022, in an all-cash deal and was named captain upon return, sparking unease among fans.

Sharma has led Mumbai to five IPL titles in his ten-year-long tenure.
