Meanwhile, Avinash Sable won the silver medal in the steeplechase, while Priyanka Goswami created history by winning a silver in the 10,000-metre race walk. In Lawn Bowl, Men's Four team suffered a heartbreak and have to settle with a Silver. By the end of Day 9 (August 6), India strengthened their position at 13 Golds, 11 Silvers and 16 Bronze medals,

Moreover, Australia continue to be at the top spot with 155 medals, while hosts England have 148 medals. Canada are third with 84 medals, while fourth place is occupied by New Zealand.
