Journalist Siddique Kappan was released on February 2, after spending 28 months in jail. Speaking to BOOM after his release, Kappan said as a journalist covering UAPA, he never imagined he would become a victim of this act.

On Feb 10, Delhi Development Authority carried out a demolition drive in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, razing residential and commercial properties of the people. DDA in a written statement had said that it had started the drive to retrieve &lsquo;encroached DDA land&rsquo; in Mehrauli Archaeological park.
However, the families in the area have been protesting against the drive, calling it &ldquo;illegal.&rdquo; BOOM went and talked with Mehrauli's residential families.

On Feb 10, Delhi Development Authority carried out a demolition drive in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, razing residential and commercial properties of the people. DDA in a written statement had said that it had started the drive to retrieve &lsquo;encroached DDA land&rsquo; in Mehrauli Archaeological park.
However, the families in the area have been protesting against the drive, calling it &ldquo;illegal.&rdquo; BOOM went and talked with Mehrauli's residential families.

On February 8, the animal welfare board in a statement appealed to people to celebrate Valentine&rsquo;s day as Cow Hug Day. The board said that hugging cows will bring emotional richness and collective happiness to human life. The appeal was, however, later withdrawn by the board on Feb 10. We went out on the streets of Delhi to find out if the people are on board with this idea.
