Best Winter picnic spots in Delhi : Winters are the best time for you to pack picnic baskets and head to some green spots around your city with friends and family. The national capital is a hub of beautiful parks that you must visit this season to enjoy an amazing picnic brunch.

Here’s a list of 5 must visit parks in Delhi:

1. Lodi garden :

This serene and luscious green park is an amalgamation of history and nature. Located in central Delhi this park does not need any ticket to enter and allows food too. The duck pond and the historical monuments from the 15th and 16th century are the major attractions here.

2. Hauz Khas deer park:

Another historical spot, Hauz Khas park is a huge area surrounded by a water reservoir from the medieval era. The deer park is home to a couple of deer species, monkeys and some migratory birds. It’s the best place to visit with kids and a nice family outing.

3. Sundar Nursery:

This heritage park is another lush green space with variety of flowers growing all across and is located just opposite Humayun’s Tomb. Monuments like the Sunder Burj and Lakkarwala Burj are the major attractions of this park. You will need to buy tickets to enter and when you do, don’t miss the lotus-shaped marble fountains and the huge nursery.

4. Nehru park:

On a sunny winter weekend, head to this park located right at the heart of Delhi. Equally popular among students and fitness enthusiasts for the running tracks, this park hosts various cultural concerts and fests during winters.

5. Garden of five senses :

Besides its lush green gardens full of flower plants, this park also boasts various architectural beauties for visitors. The best known among all are the bell tree and the prayer peace statues.
