This UK restaurant has a waiting list of 4 years; here's the reason why

Experts in restaurant booking management have identified the most difficult UK restaurants to secure a reservation in. One such restaurant is 'The Bank Tavern.' Located in Bristol, the pub currently has a waitlist backlog of four years for Sunday bookings. This extended waiting period is a result of nationwide closures during the pandemic.

The Bank Tavern is famous for its Sunday lunchtime offerings, especially the renowned 'Sunday Roast.' The restaurant menu is also known for items like a 30-day aged rare topside of beef, along with a slow-cooked pork belly, a honey and rosemary roasted leg of lamb, and a vegetable lentil loaf.

The pub proudly claims that its legendary roasts have been a topic of conversation in the town for many years. In 2019, it was honored as the home of Bristol's best Sunday Lunch at the Observer Food Monthly Awards, following a previous recognition at the Bristol Good Food Awards in 2018.

Additionally, The Bank Tavern takes pride in its rich history, having occupied the same location since the 19th century. Throughout its existence, it has endured various challenges, including numerous riots, two world wars, encounters with Bristol City Council town planners, and the Thatcher era.
