The Ambani-Merchant wedding is today and we just cannot keep calm. After seven months of pre-wedding festivities, the big day of the Ambani-Merchant wedding is here. Anant is tying the knot with longtime girlfriend Radhika Merchant in Mumbai in the presence of many guests including International stars Kim Kardashian, Nick Jonas, UK Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson amongst others.

From expensive wedding cards to arranging Falcons-2000 jets, the Ambanis and Merchants have left no stone unturned to make this a mega experience for their son and daughter. Let us take you through some of the most extravagant things that are happening at the mega event.

The high-profile guest list

The Ambanis and Merchants have invited some big names from the political, entertainment and business industry. Reports suggest that David Beckham and Victoria Beckham will be gracing Anant and Radhika’s wedding and invites have been extended to the couple. Besides, buzz suggests that Hollywood celebrities including Drake, Adele and Lana Del Rey will also be reportedly coming to India to perform at the wedding.

Kardashian sisters, Kim and Khloe are also attending the mega wedding. Kim’s makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic is likely to be joining the celebrations.

Among other international personalities on the wedding guest lists include former UK PMs Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, former US secretary of state John Kerry, former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, former Canadian PM Stephen Harper, Tanzania president Samia Suluhu Hassan, IOC vice president Juan Antonio Samaranch, FIFA president Gianni Infantino, self-help coach Jay Shetty and many more.

Luxury planes hired for guests

According to reports, three falcons-2000 jets and roughly 100 planes have been booked by the Ambanis. Confirming the news, Rajan Mehra, CEO- Club One Air, told Hindustan Times, "The guests are coming from all over and each aircraft will make multiple trips across the country."

Traffic restrictions in Mumbai

For the high-profile Merchant-Ambani shaadi, there are multiple traffic restrictions. Mumbai Police shared a tweet that read, "Due to a public event at the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex on July 5th & from July 12th to 15th, 2024, the following traffic arrangements will be in place for the smooth flow of traffic."

As per reports, roads near the Jio World Centre (the wedding venue) will be accessible only to "event vehicles" between 1 PM and midnight from July 12 to July 15, 2024.

The grand wedding invites

Days ahead of their wedding, wedding invitation cards were sent out to guests. The fancy invitation had several components including gifts, a nimantran patra, pashmina shawl from Swadesh amongst other valuable things.

Apart from guests, Reliance employees were also showered with gifts. Videos of Reliance employees opening their gift box that had Haldiram's snacks, sweets, and a silver coin. It also has a gold lettering that reads: “With the divine grace of our devis and devtas, we celebrate the wedding of Anant and Radhika. With best wishes, Nita and Mukesh Ambani.”
