      Thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, many of us suffer from social anxiety. Even though we have got back to our normal lives, some of us still struggle to have one on one conversations with people when stepping out or making or receiving phone calls is a real struggle.

      So, if you prefer texting over phone calls, you might be suffering from phone anxiety. Also known as telephonophobia, phone call anxiety refers to avoiding conversations over the phone.

      Previous studies have also suggested that phone-anxious people prefer texting as a mode of conversation as they feel more comfortable and expressive.

      However, sometimes it is difficult to avoid a phone call like if you have to book an appointment or schedule a job interview. These tips will help you overcome those dreaded phone calls.

      Relax and be prepared

      Take a deep breath and prepare yourself mentally before having one on one conversations with people; bet it formal or informal and you'll get through it.

      Pick up the phone

      You'll never be able to overcome your fear if you don't pick up the call. The best way is to frequently have conversations, start with people you're more comfortable with and you'll get over the fear soon.

      Don't overthink it

      Overthinking is the worst for anxious people. Just go with the flow and keep your notes nearby if you tend to forget things.
