Dating has never been easy and many singles feel it has become even trickier with the majority of communication taking place online.

According to a survey conducted by the Thriving Center of Psychology, nearly 20% of singles run a background check before going on a date with their online match.

The survey also revealed that 35% of people do not feel safe when using dating apps, despite 67% claiming to have used them at one point. However, 69% of people who have used platforms like Hinge, Bumble and Tinder, despise the apps.
