When it comes to family-planning, many factors influence the decision of having a baby. While personal preferences and circumstances differ, a recent scientific study has shed light on the ideal age for women to give birth. This research highlights the optimal biological and psychological conditions for pregnancy, providing valuable insights for individuals and couples planning to embark on the journey of parenthood.

According to researchers at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, the best age to give birth to a child is between 23 and 32. This finding was published in the journal BJOG: an International Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

The research was conducted by a team of renowned scientists who analyzed data from thousands of women across different age groups.

Dr Boglarka Petho, assistant professor at Semmelweis University and the first author of the study said, "First, we tried to determine the ten-year age period during which the fewest such congenital abnormalities occurred. We found that between 23 and 32 can be the ideal age for giving birth. Then we identified the age groups where the risk is higher compared to this safest period"

It was further mentioned in the study that women between the ages of 23 and 32 are likely to experience the highest chances of a healthy pregnancy. This age range was found to be associated with a decreased risk of pregnancy complications such as gestational diabetes, hypertension, and preterm birth while maintaining optimal fertility levels.
