Unable to get a good night's rest? Here are 5 steps to fall asleep fast

A good night's sleep is a luxury not all of us can afford. Be it the continuous thoughts that cross our minds or the restlessness, sleeping problems can affect any and everyone. Not sleeping enough or not getting a good night's sleep can affect your professional and personal lives.

However, fret not, Dr Manan Vora, an orthopedic surgeon, and sports doctor recently revealed an easy 5-step method for individuals to fall asleep. Let's learn!

5 Steps To Fall Asleep

1. Relax your face

Unclench your jaw, close your eyes, and relax your face on the pillow.

2. Relax shoulder, arm and hands

Feel your shoulders sink on the bed as you relax. Move down through your arms to your fingers, relaxing each part as you go. Deep breathing is key here.

3. Relax your chest and stomach

The next step is to relax your chest and stomach. As you breathe out, let those muscles go slack. You will feel the tension leaving your body.

4. Relax your legs

Start with your right thigh and work down to your calf, ankle, and foot. Then do the same with your left leg.

5. Clear your mind

The last step is to clear your mind. Picture yourself in total darkness, floating in peace. If thoughts disturb you, tell yourself 'Don't think'.

By following these steps, we hope you have a good night's rest!
