We know it’s hard to control when you see your favourite food on the table, but it’s important to eat in portions and not indulge at once. Overeating is harmful and can have adverse effect on your health.

Here are some tips on how to do portion eating-

Eat adequate veggies- Add more vegetables and fibre to your diet instead of increasing intake of carbohydrates. Veggies make you feel fuller and prevent you from extra calorie intake.

Don’t skip your meal- Skipping your meals make you feel hungrier, resulting in over eating.

Don’t eat your favourite food items together- Choose any one or two of your favourite food items and eat them in smaller portions, rather than gorging on them all together.

Eat something before you step out- Before stepping out try to have a healthy snack like salads, sprouts, or nuts so that you feel full and do not get tempted by junk.

Always choose smaller plates- The smaller the plate, the lesser the space for your food. This will control how much you serve and eat as much as it's needed.
