A study conducted by the ISGlobal centre suggests that living in greener places provides better mental health and lessens consumption of medicines.

Study suggests living in greener areas better for mental health

There's no second opinion about the amazing benefits of greenery around us. And a recent study conducted by ISGlobal centre also suggests that living in greener places is linked to better mental health.

The study has also come up with a 3-30-300 green space thumb rule according to which everyone should be able to see at least 3 trees from their home, have 30% canopy tree covered in their nearby areas and not live 300 meters away from the nearest park or a green space.

The survey was done on 3,145 people aged between 15 and 95. It was found that people who follow the green space thumb rule have better mental health and lesser need of medication.
