Scared of putting on weight after Holi? Here are some post-festival detox tips

Festivals are all about eating your favourite sweets and snacks without any guilt. But are you worried about gaining extra kilos post Holi? Don't worry, we've got you covered with these post-festival detox tips.

Follow these tips to detox your body after Holi

Stay hydrated

Drink plenty of water and other sugar free hydration drinks so that the body can easily flush out the toxins. Water also cleanses the digestive system and maintains blood circulation.

Cut down on sugar consumption

Try to cut down on your sugar intake by at least 50% after the festivals, for at least a month. Avoid eating artificial sugar, bakery products, and cold drinks and let your body recover from all the sugar intakes during the festivals.

Keep your meals light

Try to keep your meals light. Avoid spicy and oily food and add more fruits and fibre to your meals.

Do not miss working out

After all the celebrations are over, try not to skip your workout. Yoga, meditation or any kind of physical activity will help you burn those extra festive calories.
