    According to recent data by the World Obesity Federation, more than half the world's population will soon be classed as obese or overweight by 2035.

    It was mentioned in the report that countries like Africa and Asia will be among the ones that will witness the greatest rises.

    Moreover, the cost of obesity will also amount to more than $4tn annually by 2035.

    In the report, the reasons were also mentioned and it stated that dietary preferences towards more highly processed foods, greater levels of sedentary behaviour, and weaker policies to control food supply and marketing are going to be the main causes behind the rise in obesity rates.
