AI may help detect pancreatic cancer 3 years before diagnosis: Study

According to a study published in the journal Nature Medicine, Artificial Intelligence (AI) may now be able to detect the risk of pancreatic cancer up to three years in advance.

Currently, pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers and is hard to predict at an early stage.

For the study, researchers used an AI-based model population screening to predict pancreatic cancer in more than 9 million patients from Denmark and the US. However, the technology is still in its early stages.

Apart from this, scientists are also working on an AI-powered blood test that can help predict lung cancer.
