Harvard researchers claim they've found cocktail of drugs that can reverse age

There are numerous things that people recommend that help in age reversal. However, those recommendations are not really backed by science.

Recently, researchers from Harvard made a claim in which they said that they've found a cocktail of drugs that can help reverse ageing.

The study was published in the July issue of the medical journal Ageing.

Harvard researcher David Sinclair in a series of Twitter posts shared insights about this discovery and said that their team has identified six chemical cocktails (and more now) that restore NCC and genome-wide transcript profiles to youthful states and reverse transcriptomic age in less than a week.

Sinclair also said,

"The team's findings build upon the discovery that genes called Yamanaka factors, can convert adult cells into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). This Nobel Prize-winning discovery raised the question of whether it might be possible to reverse cellular ageing without causing cells to become too young & turn cancerous. "

He further said that the research has shown promising results in mice and monkeys. Currently, preparations for human clinical trials of the first age reversal gene therapy are ongoing.
