Valentine's Day 2022: Show your skin some love with these skincare tips

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and if you want your skin to reflect the warm glow in your heart from all the love, keep watching.

Valentine's Day can be special, whether you're spending it with your special someone or your friends & family or taking some alone time.

Take a look at some easy skincare tips and tricks to get glowing skin this Valentine's day.

Use sunscreen

Even if it isn't sunny outside, you should wear sunscreen every day. UV rays damage your skin cells and make your skin's surface uneven. Make it a part of your morning routine to apply sunscreen every day!

Try a toner

Apply toner before applying serum, moisturiser, or makeup. This will allow serums and other products you apply to your
face to penetrate deeper. Choose a toner containing witch hazel or salicylic acid if you have oily skin. Try a hydrating toner containing glycerin or ceramides for dry skin.

Make use of a Vitamin C serum

Incorporate Vitamin C, an antioxidant, into your morning routine. It shields the skin from free radicals and other nefarious chemical particles. Pollution, the sun, and even our computer screens and cell phones emit free radicals.

Exfoliate your skin

Use a gentle exfoliator twice a week to remove dead skin cells, allowing the skin beneath to shine. In contrast to the physical exfoliants you're probably more familiar with, try using a chemical exfoliator such as lactic acid, which is actually very gentle on your skin because it doesn't require scrubbing.

Consume antioxidant-rich foods

Consume antioxidant-rich foods to help your skin glow. Consider grapes, berries and nuts such as pecans and walnuts. These foods have been linked to protecting your skin from UV damage, so the next time you're looking for a midday snack, opt for a seed and nut trail mix instead of salted chips.
