New York Fashion Week: Area's fantastic fruits runway show was 'bananas'! Watch here

As the New York Fashion Week is taking place, fashion labels are leaving no stone unturned to make their collection the highlight of the show. Recently, Area presented its fantastic fruit collection on the runway and it surely turned heads.

The models were dressed in 3D shapes of fruits like watermelons, bananas, grapes, among others. It was Panszczyk, the creative director of Area's idea to represent fruits as fantastical creations to wear.

The creative director said, "We started exploring the beauty of fruits and their symbolic meaning in arts and pop culture and looked at the different stages fruit is represented in mediums such as painting, sculpture, dance, and performance."

Moreover, in the show, fruit flies were also included as jewellery.
